Asparagus and turnips, apparently.
'Dirty Girls'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

GC, here is a webpage that has an extensive checklist of kitty symptoms to help determine if there is enough of a problem that an emergency visit is warranted: [link]
I'd have to say, that if it were my kitty, and the goopy eye were the only symptom, I would be content to do the old watch-and-wait. But I would be extra paranoid about paying attention to the breathing, because those URI can turn to pneumonia fast.
The difficulty is that this is a brand new kitty, so you have no clue about her usual levels of energy/activity and appetite, which are some of the really big tells in my book for serious kitty problems.
{{sj}} Smooth surgery vibes heading your nephew's way.
I went ahead and took Momo in. Looks like it's conjunctivitis but the vet said it could turn into a respiratory infection and to keep an eye on her. I have ointment to put in her eyes and we should see improvement in 12-18 hours. I feel better as they took her temp (it was normal), checked her heart (fine), and all that good stuff and she is good. She is now eating some wet food and enjoying it. She's so cute it hurts. It is a bittersweet happy as I love the new girl but am still mourning my little Jo.
am home now. Had a nice phone conversation with Junket boss (who is DH of good friend) and he had a lot of nice things to say about working with me, and asked if I'd be interested being flown in on the bigger events. I told him my reduced show load, and if it's weekends, there is a good chance I could do it. SCORE!.
David, congrats to your team! That's awesome!
LOVE the Matt dancing video. The India thing, DMZ, and vomit comet are my fav's! I'm now watching the YouTube of his lecture about it all, which is very interesting. Boy do I wanna travel!
There was more. But tired. Drank a LOT more caffeine today than I have in years. Barely worked. But it did give me that nice "too much caffeine fuzzy headness". Cool! Off to bed soon.
The political event we went to was fricking mobbed. For one minute, I felt like I belonged here. Mostly, though, I still think I don't.
It's midnight in Seattle and it's still 77 degrees.
In conclusion: WTF. No, really. WTF.
Wow, it's only 65 in Pasadena right now.
Inside I'm laughing. Somewhere.
Yeah, we had a major pressure front push heat through the roof. We've barely gotten to 70 and occasionally mid 70's so far this year, then POW! 86 degrees.
Much the same for the next 2 days and then a little reduction to about 75 for the 4th.
In conclusion: WTF. No, really. WTF.Right there with you. We hit 100 today. Do not want!
Yeah, Cass, I figured you guys would get it worse.
Blech.
I like warm, but not warmth that clings like you're swaddled and can't get out. Yuck.
