If you think I'm cute, you should see my mommy
Heh. I bought one of those for my nephew, except I got it personalized, and it says, "If you think I'm cute, you should see my Auntie Val."
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I have to ask you--did Em EVER wear the same outfit twice????
Sometimes, a lot of times, no. Comes from my only having a limited number of outfits when I was young and therefore living vicariously through my daughter.
Will you be able to use a lot of it or most of it?
Aw, GC. I'm sorry about Josie. Poor her, and poor you.
Oh GC. {{{{HUGS}}}} Poor you guys and Josie. You've done so well by her.
Thanks for the hugs and thoughts. It's a tough decision, but we think it's best. I'm talking to the vet today and making an appointment for tomorrow afternoon. Then we have the weekend to mourn sweet kitty Jo and break in the new girl. It feels weird to be planning to bring a new kitty in right after Jo is gone. I am so sad about Josie but excited about new kitty at the same time.
I feel like I kind of have to make a quick decision as I don't want to risk the shelter putting the kitten down (she's been there since 6/14). I think I'm going to go over there today at lunch, hold little kitty (I didn't do that yesterday), and if all goes well, seal the deal. They have to spay her before I can take her anyway, so I'm thinking if I tell them I can get her on Saturday and pay the fee, they can go ahead and do the surgery tomorrow.
I agree that saving another kitty's life...and giving her the love and care that Josie enjoyed, is the greatest tribute you could offer to that gentle spirit.
Bless all your hearts GC.
But wouldn't the aftereffects of all that raw garlic be offputting to anyone who might otherwise wish to benefit from their lack of erectile dysfunction?
If you eat raw garlic without chewing it, it doesn't stay on your breath.
ETA: Also, go K-Bug! You did a good job with that one Suzi!

And can I get another rousing round of "Fuck cancer?" I just found out our choir director's wife has cancer of the kidney--hopefully early stage and still contained, but they won't really know until they do surgery to remove the kidney next month. She's not a super close friend of mine, but she's a fellow alto and a lot of fun to hang out with at choir and church. Just one of those joyous and wise people, you know? She and her husband met through the choir and have only been married a year or two (they're both maybe 10-15 years older than me, I think, so late 40's/early 50's), and I'll just be so angry at the universe if they don't get many happy years together.
Awwww, Glam, I am so sorry about Josie and also very pleased to hear about new kitty. And there will be peeeekshurs of new kitty, right?
Shit, Susan, that is terrible. FUCK CANCER SO HARD!!!
There will def be pictures of new kitty. She is a very pretty little thing, with the most gorgeous clear blue eyes you've ever seen. I'm thinking of naming her something Asian, like Ming or something along those lines. She is a little princess, she is. Another trait she seems to share with Jo - they know they are just so pretty. I wonder how our other kitty (Bianca AKA Binky) will react.
