Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

sj, if the check is made out to both of you, either one can deposit it. (You don't need both signatures.)

Actually, that's not true, at least here in MA. It may depend on the amount of the check. sj, I'd call your bank and ask.

Thanks, vw. TCG has already signed it, so I'm just going to take it by my bank and see what happens.

I know when I get my loan checks (which are written to me and my dad), we have to go through this whole thing...His signature and driver's license has to be on file, and it has to be current. But, those are for large checks...so, I have no idea for smaller.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Actually, that's not true, at least here in MA.

Oh, really? I've never had a problem depositing things written out to DH and I (tax refunds etc) - didn't realize it varied by state.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I thought a lot of it depended on whether it had an and or an or between the names. In many places "and" means both have to sign. "Or" means either can sign. That, I think, varies bank to bank, not so much state to state.
