In other words, while it is legal, it may lead to religious discrimination and most employers should avoid those lawsuits by just not doing this.
Tep, not to be litigious, but I would start documenting any instances of negative comments or retaliatory behavior based on your not attending prayer time.
Oh yeah, what Vortex said and may I add another WTF?
Not to dis religion, but pressure to participate in religious activities at work can constitute harassment.

Oh, yeah. I mean, I truly don't actually expect anything overt; but I certainly plan to cover my ass if the need arises.
Steph's company has me going O.o and I never do that here. At least I don't type it out.
In other news, the couple that I went down to the County Clerk's office with yesterday was profiled in today's New York Times dining section.
ugh Teppy. I think that would be a thing that pushed me over the edge to quitting.
I had full-color stereo-sound, smell-o-vision, tactile dreams that I was still together with my ex all night long. Now I feel all disoriented and weird.
Hivemind medical question:
At what point should I call my doctor over an earache? I've had low level allergy/cold symptoms for days, and today my left ear itches, keeps feeling like it needs to be popped, and actually hurt when I was chewing some mildly tough food at breakfast. Which all sounds minor, but normally my ears don't bug me at all with allergies/colds.
You might have an ear infection, Susan, which would necessitate some antibiotics. So, I'd give a call today, see if anyone can take a look at it.
Thanks, Nora. I just called the office, and they're going to have the nurse call me.
I have to say, though, that this job I previously linked to in North Beach looks pretty sweet.
Dooooo eeeeeeeeeet.
Also, look at where the offices are. Very pretty! Near water! Tends to be sunny! NEAR ME!!
Ahem.
