In other words, while it is legal, it may lead to religious discrimination and most employers should avoid those lawsuits by just not doing this.

Hivemind medical question:
At what point should I call my doctor over an earache? I've had low level allergy/cold symptoms for days, and today my left ear itches, keeps feeling like it needs to be popped, and actually hurt when I was chewing some mildly tough food at breakfast. Which all sounds minor, but normally my ears don't bug me at all with allergies/colds.
