Aww. I was at this show, but in DC, I would've totally known who this ad was about. Though I'd like to think it was about my friend E (who is gorgeous, I think) who was there with the GILF. Except I know it's not, because the poet was sitting on the other side of the aisle from them (but they were sitting in the back like that and she does have dark hair and eyes)
Also exciting: I put seeds (cilantro, basil, and mint) in dirt, in pots. And one of them (the basil) already sprouted, which was exciting. But one of them, this morning I could kinda faintly see little greenness in the dirt...and it GREW. In one day. If I had taken pictures every hour it would be awesome time lapse photography! So cool! Nature! In my living room!
Neat! I've got an herb kit with a mini greenhouse for starting the seedlings, but I haven't set it up yet.
I am officially confused by my body. Tired today. Then after I got home - digestively uncomfortable. Supposed to go out with DH and friend, but I felt nauseous. Shortly after they left for dinner -- asthma attack. digestive problems mostly gone, but freezing. Ate a little pho, warmer, digestive stable.
this make no sense
Add dizziness, and subtract the DH and pho, I am beth. I'm sorry beth. You're a wonderful person. But in this case, I totally don't want to be you.
Beth and libkitty, I hope you both feel better quickly.
Teppy, yikes on that reaction. Hope the benedryl does the trick.
beth, I hope I didn't rain on your...well, the phrase doesn't work well here, but I'm really sorry you're feeling crummy and I'm glad the pho helped.
Teppy, I hope the benedryl helps. It does suck that these things tend to happen in the wee hours.
New thread in the morning. Mmmmm, almost (note I said
almost
) better than coffee.
I swear, only to me does this weirdness happen.
Last week, I had several nights with very little sleep, because I was coughing and codeine keeps me wide awake. Still, an allergic reaction to the most common medication for a severe allergic reactions is pretty over the top.
Top 50! 40 even.
It's the small pleasures in life that make it worth it.
Still, an allergic reaction to the most common medication for a severe allergic reactions is pretty over the top.
Right? But I searched MEDLINE last night, and, while it's not *common* for people to have an allergic reaction to methylprednisolone, it's happened enough for there to have been articles writen on it.
The articles describe some cross-reactivity with other steroids, but not all. So I'm going to call my doctor this morning and tell him what's going on, and find out what he wants me to do (other than stop the methylprednisolone). I could already tell it was helping my wrist pain, so I'd like to keep taking another steroid, if possible.
I've taken this steroid pack before, maybe 4 or 5 times in the past 15 years, and never had this reaction. Weird weird weird.
I don't have a *rash*, per se, or hives, but I'm itchy all over and flushed and my skin feels hot all over. That's not my normal state of being, and then only thing new in my daily routine in the past 2 days has been the steroid, so it seems fairly obvious that that's the culprit. Dang.
I hope the next round of stuff offers you some relief, Teppy.
