Anya Christina Emmanuella Jenkins. Twenty years old. Born on the fourth of July — and don't think there weren't jokes about that my whole life, mister, 'cause there were. 'Who's our little patriot?' they'd say, when I was younger and therefore smaller and shorter than I am now.

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Yay, Steph!!!

Someone tell me to stay away from all blogs about weight loss and fat activism, okay?

Stay away from all blogs about weight loss and fat activism.

No, really.

Your spousal 5¢.

Ah, second Bitches thread killed by moi in two days. It's a gift.

I feel a new tagline coming on...

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

We've decided that she can go there for kinder and we can resume the search for a better school for 1st grade

I will note that I made a strategic error in trying to get Emmett into public schools for first grade instead of kindergarten.

There are thirty openings at the kindergarten level for the best schools. There are only going to be five or six openings at those schools at the first grade level, because the kindergarten kids move up and the only slots open are from kids who move away.

Not to stress you out, but just something to factor in.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Once in every generation, a Brit is chosen. One soul in all the board to stand against the demons posters....

He is...THREADSLAYER! And his superpower is LOOMING!

I think that's really short-sighted. Like I'll ever go back to that salon after that, you know?

Whilst I quite sympathise with that pov, and would likely do the same kind of thing myself, I also know that my Dad is frustrated beyond words at how much time, money and energy he invests in training up hairdressers...only to have the fuckers leave him once they're qualified, and take a load of his clients with them (for home hairdressing/mobile hairdressing is neccesarily much cheaper than salon hairdressing, what with the lack of overheads). So I'm feeling sympathy for the small businessman whose clientbase gets pinched. (And, hell, if they're looking at 'lose client by giving them hairdresser's details, or lose client because they stomp off in a huff, or maybe retain client because they can't be arsed to go track down hairdresser - it's a bit of a no brainer.)

Jilli - what The Threadslayer Said. Stay away from those blogs. In fact, check out 3fatchicks.com instead - the Maintainers' Forum is where you'll find people who are in maintenance phase. (And the Goal Reached threads always cheer the hell out of me.)

PC - yay! Oh, so glad you're getting the Death Note love! Despite being very tell-don't-show, it's still gripping and twisty twisty turny like a crazy rococo thing. Where are you up to now?

FYI, Fay, I did a test run on Cass this weekend of the evil thing I'm going to do to you next time we meet. It's kind of Looming +.

Cass begged me to stop.

And don't think you're getting away with anything either, Suzi.
