My only real visual memory of this show is, and always will be, the image of Carrie wandering about in the pink tutu with all the gratuitous nippleage.
Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You missed the ass ruffle? Lucky you.
There were multiple ass ruffles, sadly.
I was a single 30-something woman in the City while they were filming that show and didn't know anyone who resembled any of the women on it.
Well, I liked going to the Betsey Johnson store and getting markdowns. That's a label.
For billytea, in honor of his father's, um, honor.
I never understood the show. At all.
More than likely it's because I am not at all the key demographic, very far removed, in fact, but still?
Also, could someone somewhere explain to me the apparent appeal of Sarah Jessica Parker. I appreciate her as an actress and all... Or at least recognize that there are people who do. In any case, it is lost on me.
I'm going to, once again, show my vanilla status.
I love SatC, but I've discovered that I don't actually *love* SatC, I love the toned-down, air-on-network-television SatC.
My thesis buddy and I are planning to go see the movie...maybe this weekend. Though, this weekend is suddenly very busy. How do I manage to do that?
In completely shallow news, I just went to spend my Lane Bryant Bucks on new workish tops for the summer (as I'm hopefully starting a summer-long temp position this week) and ended up buying a dress/suit and two pairs of pants because I have apparently lost so much weight that their tops swim on me. I am thrilled by this development, though my wardrobe is not.
vw, I'm assuming the weight loss is a good thing - if so, yay!
SatC is one of those things I never quite got. In this, as so many things, I'm out of step with the mainstream.
And Fay ... your friend sounds like, well, someone who'd be your friend. And how much do I love that she offered you a choice of rope gauges (seriously or as a joke, it doesn't matter)?
Somebody tell me something nice; I'm having a really crap day.
Somebody tell me something nice; I'm having a really crap day.
Well, that sucks. It is Monday.
So...something nice...You always crack me up, and this morning was no different. You have a way with words and descriptions that puts us right with you. It's fun.
And, Toddson, the weight-loss is nice. I've given up on really trying because it appears near impossible on the current combo of meds. So, I'm always pleasantly surprised when I drop.
