Pretty cool except for the part where I was really terrified and now my knees are all dizzy.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Fay, you misspoke, I think you meant to say:

- oh, and a biglovely ass... her face? Damn. No, didn't notice, too busy staring at the hat ass..."

Does J-Date do gay dating? My one friend was complaining that she wants to date a Jewish girl...

she should find gay friendly Jewish families. My friend Lynn met her partner at a Seder. She likes to joke that she's the only one in the family who brought home a nice jewish girl.

I feel bad rescinding my RSVP, but also want to go to the movie. I don't think 45 minutes of being at the party is quite kosher, though. Especially since it probably won't really start on time.

eh, it's the GILF. You know she'd bail on you.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

And a random air conditioner question: does it use less energy to keep the upstairs A/C running all day on low, or to turn it off completely, have it get enormously hot and stuffy up there, and then turn it on full blast when it's time for bed?

It depends. I'm guessing that "low" refers to fan speed and not a thermostat setting. Once the room gets hot and stuffy, how long does it take the a/c to make it comfortable? If you leave the a/c on all day, is it running full time, or cycling on and off to a thermostat setting?

Yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking too. :) And if it was HER birthday, I'd have no compunction, but then it's her DAUGHTER"s birthday, so I feel a little guilty...

She likes to joke that she's the only one in the family who brought home a nice jewish girl.

Heh. Apparently my friend's sister not only married a Jew, she married a Jewish DOCTOR. The stakes are high.

Always Anti-fascist!

I think it's bad to turn AC's off-off, instead of up high. They work too hard or some such thing. Signed: Unwilling AC expert.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Is it ok to only have breakfast things at a brunch at 1 on a Sunday, or do I have to offer a lunch type item like a ham or sandwich fixings?

Our wings are not tired.

We don't turn the A/C off, just set it higher. Then again, my plants and pets would not survive any other way. When we leave for the summer it gets set to 80 something. Otherwise we would have mold growing everywhere.

I think as long as you have substantial-like breakfast things, with protein and such, you're fine.

Unless you have annoying people.

But if you've invited annoying people, they'll be annoying no matter what you serve.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I'm voting for leaving the AC on and the thermostat set high. It takes too long for it to cool down and dehumidify, otherwise. By the time it's comfortable enough to sleep, it's time to get up.

Hah! No, not annoying people. Just in-laws who I don't want to mess up in front of. I think that fritattas and strata and things like bacon and sausage should give plenty of protein options.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I can't remember what I did before I had buffistas to answer all my questions.

sj, I concur completely! For some reason, lying in bed this morning, I wondered, do all egg-layers have cloacas? Or is it only birds, esp. chickens? Must ask Buffistas.

Then I fell back asleep again. I don't know why I was thinking about cloacas.
