Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Because books.

The Philadelphia Zoo is my very favorite! It's awesome.

Fay's "twilight bark" reference made me snort cereal-milk. And jihad!Dalmation is cracking me up.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

See, obviously, the solution is for Teppy to come to Vermont for 10 days. (Tom and I were just talking about hoping you were coming up again someday soon)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I like the way Nora thinks!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

And the notion of Jihad!Dalmatian is hifuckinglarious.

jihad!Dalmation is cracking me up.

It's even funnier when you know how totally dumb she is the rest of the time. It's like whatever meagre intelligence she possesses has been focused and channeled into a blood oath against Guest Dog.

And Guest Dog is part mastiff (or, as I suspect, pit bull). Which means that the dalmatian is going to get severely hurt if she doesn't stop the thuggery.

The Boy and I are going to try for late September/early October, b/c he's never been to Vermont, so I figure his first time should be during Leaf Season.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

The Philadelphia Zoo is my very favorite! It's awesome.

San Diego's Faunapalooza tops my list. But Philly is well worth the trip, as is Cincinnati's. And Melbourne Zoo, I might add. I must also give props to America Zoo in Hershey, simply because for me it was way convenient to be able to visit a North American-specific zoological garden, and the zoo on Phillip Island, which has the most reliable echidna exhibit I know of. (Bonus Phillip Island treat: the Penguin Parade!)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

TCG and I need to get up to Vermont soon and start looking at possible elopement places, if only so people will stop asking me if we still plan on getting married.
