[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I've been pretty flexible about where Home is. The place where I feel safe and able to be me. So where ever there is a place for e. In the broader sense CA has taken over CT as my place- but my neighborhood esp. This neighborhood is the first place that has evoked that neighborly feeling - Someone is sick, needs a hand doing a project - I'm more than willing to help. And if I need help I find it almost easy to ask.

askye, much strength and ~ma to you and your family.

My biggest problem with my current place is that it doesn't feel like home, and I move a lot and have always been able to make a place my own quite easily. I really don't see myself being able to hold out for another two years.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

I still feel like L.A. is home. I haven't quite settled into it here in Michigan.

It feels like an old suit. It should fit, it seems, but it doesn't and it's vaguely uncomfortable and irritating.

And my family (not Aims and Em) is annoying as hell.

Our wings are not tired.

Why do you suppose it is different this time, Megan?

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Home - North Beach is definitely home. It's felt more home-like on its own merits than anywhere I have lived, ever. People-wise, a large part of "home" for me is still in Minneapolis. Even though my mom is still in AK, I don't think I've considered that "home" since I was 13 and started travelling on my own. I kind of carry my "home" in my head, but also here, on the board. I know I could go to New York or Dallas or Chicago or Seattle tomorrow and have it feel like home, because I'd be with my tribe.

Louisiana will always be home to me. Anywhere else is just where I live.

juliana! I was just talking about you last night! We have decided that you have to come visit so we can take you for food, drinks and drag shows.

Why do you suppose it is different this time, Megan?

Well, it's partly that I haven't had a housemate for a long time, but a lot of it is the fact that I moved into a furnished/established household. Since college, I have prided myself in being able to create a homey atmosphere, even when I lived in a (basically) unfurnished teeny studio in the East Village. And now I feel more like an interloper. Of course, it doesn't help that I really don't like the furnishings in my current place.
