These books had been all mixed together. When my grandmother died, my parents just sorted the books into boxes labeled "German books," "Hebrew books," and "English books" (I think four boxes of German, three of Hebrew, and four of English), and they'd just been sitting there because no one can figure out what to do with just boxes and boxes of books. Today we finally sat down and sorted through them (the German ones, at least) to actually figure out what was in there and what we wanted to keep. We ended up with three boxes of books to sell and one box of books to keep. Most of the ones to sell are novels from the thirties.
Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Ok, which one of us got a job with the Multi-State Lottery Commission responding to letters and emails to Powerball.com?
Seriously, read some of these responses: [link]
At the very least, read the final one.
Shit. Remember the fire in my neighborhood last summer? Well, there was just a woman hit by a drunk driver on the same block. She's in critical condition, and I'm turning off the news.
oh jesus vw. That's awful.

It's just really sad. The construction on those store fronts isn't even done yet, and there's another tragedy. Ugh.
edited to fix subject/verb agreement
vw, when I was an infant, we had a German Shepherd who freaked at thunderstorms and would crawl under the skirts of the bassinet. My parents had a great time with the wee infant girl defending the ferocious guard dog against the heavens.
Current dog could give a rat's ass about storms - doesn't even look up - but fireworks put her into Defcon 1 defensive mode. (Same with blimps, and occasionally snowmen.)
Laga you're in LA, right? DH's cousin is a dog groomer, works out of MDR. I'm not sure what it costs but I could ask her for an estimate.
I posted few more pictures of the kids heading off to Prom.
JZ - I didn't get a shot of the actual pole. Another mom and I were laughing too hard, and daring each other to "give it a go", to remember to snap a shot.
yep I'm in LA. D drives through MDR every day. We're just looking for a shampoo, trim, and nail clip for a small english springer spaniel. I'm Laga on gmail if you'd like to email the info. Thanks, Burrell!
