Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh, damn. I forgot to buy more margarita salt!

Someone on your guest list has asked "what can I do to help?" call that someone!

I'm sitting on a Project Review conference call. This is the project I picked up when I shifted jobs. I just got an IM from one of the guys I'm working with that says:

I'm getting too much credit...you deserve it too...I've been letting {boss man] know how much you've helped.

Validation is so nice.

Actually, the only person that said that (besides the lovely sj, and she's already bringing stuff) is one of J's guests, so I don't have her phone number.

I bet the liquor store in the square has some. I just wanted to get the funny gourmet stuff from Crate and Barrel because it's always such a conversation piece.

Sparky is wise. I've done the ER ice/olive/grenadine run for many a hostess.

I'm kinda mad at you now, tho; I'm drooling at the thought of a margarita, lots of lime and salt!

Well, get your butt up here. There will be PLENTY to go around. J's SO is making them. He was so funny. He's like, "So what level hangover do you want your guests to have?"

Harumpft! Well then, call the person who you know can handle this, even if they didn't volunteer. You're giving them a whole party, the least s/he can do is pick up some salt.

And sj is very lovely, I agree.

Verra tempting! Do I need to get dressed? I have a cute nightie on (it's too humid to wear anything else right now, and I'm just writing cover letters, anyway.)

sj is good people! Throwing a party is a PITA; fun, but a PITA. I always forget something and have to call -- someone's always stopping by a liquor store to buy their brand of rum or smokes or something, anyway.
