Well, then, this is a day I'll feel good to be me.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Home safe, Andi!

So very jealous of you , ChiKat!

I'm having a hard time realizing that my first year is almost over! I did a good clean/organize of my prop/costume storage room yesterday and today (while I had some strapping young boys to do some heavy lifting). I started cleaning my room and office today.

You're going to hate me even more for this: all my grading is done. All my classes had their finals last Thursday and Friday, and their finals were all performances. This week, they've been doing a character analysis worksheet while watching a movie. I'm only grading the worksheet for one class. I even entered grades for my 2 6th grade classes today. I'll be able to do my 2 8th grade classes tomorrow because their last class with me was today (the whole 8th grade is going to 6 Flags tomorrow).

Monday, we have a 1/2 day (a make-up snow day) and I won't even have any classes that day. Our clean up and check out is Monday afternoon. Then, I'm done!

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I'm thinking we might go ahead and do that on Saturday.
Hm. Be careful. It sounds like these two morons are just screwed up enough to take that as an invitation to break in and vandalize your place. Have you formally evicted them yet? You may want to do that and then report them to the police for harassment or malicious mischief or whatever it's called. Do any Buffista legal-types know what Laga's options are?

I'm going to call the landlord first thing in the morning.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

WHY am I not more organized?!

I'm opening boxes that haven't been opened since we moved here, um, over a year ago, all because I'm seeking an important piece of paperwork. It's not urgent. I need to find it, but I need it this summer, not this week.

So, because I like plans and because I'm trying to get a grip on the overall chaos that is my life, for the past three nights I've been going through a file box per night. Tonight I thought I'd struck gold. I opened a box whose top layer was all the sort of thing I was looking for, some of it even from the right organization. The box was completely full, so I was hopeful.

Unfortunately, once I got past the first layer, it was a jumble of random bills (most of them old enough to go straight to the shred pile), birthday cards from Annabel's first birthday, and warranties and handbooks from assorted household appliances. Because back when we were packing to move, I just flung all my random piles of paperwork into random boxes.

Would it have killed me to have organized them topically? Apparently.

Even now, I just have a trash bag, a shred box, and a paper bag for recycling. If I find something important I set it aside, but everything else is just getting tossed back in the boxes as-is. I tell myself I'll sort everything once I've found the Important Document and culled what can be tossed out, but will it happen? Not bloody likely.

ETA be careful, Laga! And change those locks!

D doesn't want to involve the landlord but we'll talk about it when I get home. I'm starting to worry for our safety and the pets'.

I need soothing. Tell me a story about something calm and peaceful.
