I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm sorry, StuntHusband. We clearly haven't taken enough care to keep the game friendly and fun.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

BSG

Tell you what, here's a shiny button. You can take turns holding it or something.

Ooh, ooh, I want to push the button!

*pushes the button*

Huh. I feel kind of funny. No, not funny. This feels kind of...right. I think I know who I am!

I am Karl "Helo" AGATRON!!!

As I bid adieu to Galactica, I discard EO-1, EO-1, LS-1, LS-2, and EM-1. Oh, and I pass my extra Loyalty Card to the newly adorned Admiral Gaeta.

But that's not all, filthy humans! Have fun Drawing Treachery Cards.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

The player's furious, and won't be returning to this forum for future gaming or conversation.

I'm so sorry I don't understand how this happened. Is there anything I can do to make things right?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

BSG

Helo's Loyalty card requires all humans to make a random discard and draw 1 Treachery card. Helo himself then draws 2 Treachery cards. The random discards are:

Roslin: Investigative Committee 4
Gaeta: Repair 2
Starbuck: Major Victory 1
Dee: Critical Situation 3
Ellen: At Any Cost 5

New Treachery is going out. After that it will be President Roslin's turn.

Administrative note: while dealing out Roslin's cards, the Leadership deck was exhausted. The discards have been reshuffled.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Son of a...

Sorry we didn't believe you, Roslin.

See my previous post about XOing me to scout and hoping Gaeta isn't a Cylon.

Yet another administrative note: StuntHusband is leaving the game, which means we have an opening for a replacement Ellen. I've put out a couple of feelers, but I'll ask here too - are there any lurkers who'd like to take on the role for what's left of the game?

I'll keep the game going until such time as we'd need a decision from Ellen, then we'll see where we stand with a replacement.

Considering it seems like we've had at least one player feel alienated/get pissed off in every game so far (though not necessarily to this degree), I have to wonder if there needs to be a change to our approach to the game, though I don't know what that change would be. I think there's always going to be at least bit of tension in a game with paranoia as a major element, especially when you're interacting with cold text instead of face-to-face.

In any case, if anyone feels like I've treated them unfairly, or behaved like a dick, I'd like to extend my apologies to them as well. I know some of my posts have been a little on the "enthusiastic" side. I'll try to rein that in a bit in the future.

Off the game for a moment, I found a website that presents the results of a D&D competition. The brief is to re-envision the owlbear. Some interesting outcomes: [link]
