GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Okay, our priorities are getting rid of Scar and destroying that basestar.

Helo, I mean, Admiral, I'd recommend moving to Weapons Control, and then XOing me. I can go tangle with Scar and then hopefully Madame President has an XO she can play on you to shoot the basestar twice next turn.

I've got a Maximum Firepower, though I think since I'd get two actions to shoot Scar, I may want to try a single shot first and see if I can save the card for later. If I miss, I'll play the MF. If anyone has a SP they want to play, I'd recommend holding onto it until the last shot of the MF. Same goes for Helo's re-roll.

Unless we want to put everything into the first shot (SP and re-roll) and I can launch a Scout or move into Sector 4 with my second action if it hits, or play the MF if it misses.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

BSG

I am overwhelmed by all my options, finally being on the ship and being able to do things! I could go out and fire on Scar myself, I could shoot at the basestar, I could move some civvies away from Scar, I could launch a Scout to make sure Scar doesn't activate, I could go to Pegasus and shoot at things...hell, I could nuke the stupid basestar right now so it doesn't bother us during our (hopefully) short stay here. That would make for a heroic return.

Madame President (or anyone else), any advice?

Electromagnetic candy! - Stark

BSG

moving the civvies forever isn't an option; we're going to have Scar chasing them faster than we can move them, and that basestar is a serious threat. I say either shoot at the basestar (I wouldn't use a nuke this early in the game), or shoot at Scar.

I can't wrap my poor little head around which is the best option though.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

BSG

Starbuck has a good plan - she's our best hope for taking out Scar and your reroll would be helpful. At this point, moving the civvies would only make more time for raiders to launch before Starbuck can get into space without the benefit of an extra action. I can't guarantee an XO for you on my turn, but with a little luck I'll draw one.

Eta: Using Main Batteries looks like it would be all risk and no bonus right now. If you don't have an XO to play, either get in a viper yourself and take a potshot at Scar or get over to Weapons Control and fire on the basestar (my preference is for viper)

I know! I've been waiting all this time to come in and save the day, so I want to do something. I want to be a hero, not just Helo.

I'm going to take the President's advice and launch myself in a Viper and take a potshot at Scar. If I miss, I will re-roll.

Suck it, Scar! SUCK IT.

Just a reminder that one of the biggest advantages Team Human has is the ability to XO one another. Generally speaking, if another player is already in a location that needs to be activated, you're better off XOing them to get two actions out of it, than doing it yourself.

Likewise, if you doing something that could done anywhere (playing an XO on someone else, Scouting, etc) it's generally a good idea to move somewhere that XOing you later would would be useful. (Weapons Control, Command and Communications are all good ones.)

I have COs from all players to pass on Strategic Planning. Let's see if all that radiation exposure has affected the Admiral's aim:

Die roll = 7. Hit! Scar is destroyed! Admiral Karl "Deadeye" Agathon does a couple of victory laps. Sadly, the rest of the viper detail aren't nearly so perky. They've been out there for a long time, and now they're suffering from:

Sleep Deprivation
Admiral's Choice

Admiral, when you're ready, please post your choice.

The Admiral's going to go relax at a comedy club after his kickass shooting, so he won't be making his choice for a few hours. Discuss amongst yourselves until he returns.

Nice shooting, Helo.

With Scar gone and no raiders currently in space, I vote for grounding the vipers. We can get some launched pretty quickly if we need to and we really can't afford to keep losing Morale.

Let's just hope this shot from the basestar doesn't hit Command or the Hanger Deck, though we've still got Helo's re-roll if it does hit us.
