Your Admiral is acting all large and in charge and has stepped up to the plate with a P3. Good thing because the roll is in fact a 5. With the SP, however, that makes 7 and a clean jump, Helo aside. (I'm sure they'll find you, really.)
Booyah! Who's your daddy? Well, obviously Starbuck is like the son I never had, but with this jump I'm extending my paternal duties to the rest of the fleet. So, um... clean your room, curfew's at 11, um, and I guess it's about time we had that talk. See, citizens of the fleet, when a man and a woman face total annihilation and need to repopulate the human race, they... Ah... Um. You know what? Here's some helpful printed material. I'm sure you'll work it out from there.
Damn. I wish Helo were back, he never seems to have any trouble with this stuff. Though I'm pretty sure that there should be more to it than "Get a load of
these
guns."
BSG
Anyway, back to the jump! Here are your orders, Mr Gaeta. Take us to this destination!
Puppy Planet
Admiral's Choice
Gain 2 Morale
OR
Gain 1 Food, lose 1 Morale
Aww, cute widdle puppies. Cute widdle tasty puppies. My choice is-- Sorry, Mr Gaeta? What do you mean that's not a real location?
t sigh
You are
harshing
on my
mellow,
you realise that? Ok, what else do you have for us?
Desolate Moon.
Really? That's the best you could do? ...Does it have any puppies? ...Yes, I do know what desolate means. Well, you can announce it to the fleet. Get out there and tell everyone that you've cancelled puppy Christmas, I just don't care anymore. I need some alone time with the nukes.
BSG
Puppies are overrated, Desolate Moon seems more your style. And, since it's desolate, it means you cover 3 distance, although you burn through 3 fuel to do so.
And, maybe, just maybe, the cylons won't find you there.
Let's see what the next crisis brings, shall we?
ETA: Oh, it's
Colonial Day (10YP)
on Desolate Moon, isn't that special? Details have been sent.
BSG
Well, it's nice to have the chance to make up that lost morale. But I could only help the teensiest bit on this check, and we did just play a bunch of purples.
BSG
Hmm. I think I'll draw another Yellow for that one.
I can help with the check if that's the course we want to take. I'll tell you how much once I get my card draw.
BSG
Hmm. Ok, if we can pass this and get back some Morale, that'd be great. I'm not sure if we can though. I can help, but it'd be a low contribution. Plus, I reckon we have a Cylon aboard. I think someone spiked the Witch Hunt check. They may well spike this one too.
1. Helo and Starbuck, can you help with this?
2. Doctor President, I think if we're to pass, we'd need you both to help in the check and put an IC on it. Are you up to the task? (Politics could be a good choice for your delusions this turn.)
Edit: Ninja'd! There are ninjas on my ship!
BSG
Desolate Moooooooooooon
You saw me standing aloooooooone
I could potentially help a lot with this check, but I'm not sure I should if the rest of you can take care of it or if losing Morale is not too bad. I don't know.
BSG
I can only help a little.
BSG
Yeah, I definitely think someone spiked Witch Hunt, and while I know it looks like it could have been me, it wasn't. (I realize that's what I'd say if it were, so my protestations are probably not altogether helpful to you, but just putting it out there.) I'm willing to sit out this check, since my contribution would only have been nominal, in a good faith effort.
BSG
I think this is, in every sense, up to Doctor Government (it's his choice after all). If he can swing both an IC and a fair contribution, I'm in favour of going for it. If he can't, I think we'd be running too much of a risk.
I could potentially help a lot with this check, but I'm not sure I should if the rest of you can take care of it or if losing Morale is not too bad. I don't know.
We've already lost a couple of points of Morale, so we don't really want to lose more if we can avoid it. It's starting to get a bit worrying.
(Just to make it more worrying, Baltar has a lot of influence over Morale. Aside from being the decider on this check. Morale-based Crises often have Yellow positive, and Baltar's our main source. There are also some Quorum Cards that let us try to raise Morale, and as President, he's in charge there too.)
On that note, Helo, I'm sure the story of your escape from Caprica and return to the fleet will be a heart-warming tale of courage and human indomitability. Have you ever considered a career in politics? The press loves a hero. PLus, if you're to repopulate the human race, you'll need some face time so we can find you a wife. Several wives, probably. I'd suggest Starbuck, but she's like the son I never had, and I'm not sure if it works that way. Plus, she's developed these "issues" about having kids. Something about a bad experience on a farm, I couldn't really make much sense of it. She gets pretty worked up about it. Women, eh? You know what I mean! I tell you, boy-sons are so much easier to deal with than girl-sons.
Dear Diary: Dee and the other women of Galactica have started glaring at me whenever I'm in Command. Was it something I said? Reminder: let them know that they're collectively like the son I never had.
