Oh, as usual, dear. Guess we should have moved civvies while we could. Not that it matters since there are Cylons EVERYWHERE. Is this November sweeps or something? Someone trying to make things extra special exciting?
And no jump track.

Wow. I'm getting serious flashbacks of the face space game I just played last weekend. And I just realized the character roster is the same, only we have added Helo.
Hmmm...[eyes the Chief suspiciously].
Okay. So we need to get vipers into sectors 1 and 4 ASAP. I'm thinking maybe we want Starbuck in Sector 4, since that's our highest concentration of civvies and the ones most at-risk. I know the Admiral doesn't want to risk XOing me with my turn up after his, so getting Starbuck into the action is my vote.
BSG
Just a reminder for the newbies. Heavy raiders don't attack, they only seek to board Galactica.
At present, the civvies in sector 1 and 4 are 2 raider activations away from destruction, the civvie in sector 6 is 1 potential activation away from destruction depending on the resulting rolls, but that is probably unlikely since it takes an 8 to destroy a viper. Also, you are one heavy raider activation from being boarded by the heavy raider in sector 6.
BSG
Starbuck, if I were to XO you, do you have anything else you can do aside from moving to Sector 4?
BSG
Gosh.
Well, it's a target-rich environment, I suppose. Oy. Is this the sort of situation where nukes might come in handy?
BSG
The nukes are indeed on the table, Helo. I put them there whenever I have a meeting with civilians, freaks them right out. I still remember the first time I did that with the Quorum, you should've seen their faces. I swear Tom Zarek wet himself! Though, looking back, I'm not entirely sure whether that was from fear or excitement. Odd man, that Mr Zarek.
Anyway, there are some positives here:
1. We're already a couple of steps along the jump track. With a little luck, if things get too hairy we'll be able to jump.
2. It makes it easier for me to decide where to go, now that Comms is out of the picture.
3. I've been practising my Commander face. 'Grr.' Intimidating, no?
But aside from that, this is pretty bad. Jammed Assault is probably my least favourite attack card in the game. We now have eleven raiders in action, closing in from two different directions. The only good news is that they're split into three groups. If we can take on each group separately, we have a decent chance here.
Clearly, this calls for the "BOSS OF YOU" hat. t dons hat Ahh, that's better. Ok, we're going to need two flights of vipers, one to protect the civvies in Sector 4, the other to push the raiders back from Sector 6. The Franco is on its own. Dee tells me that it wandered out of the flight perimeter and won't answer our calls - she's like the son I never had, you know - well, that's its own lookout. Plus, who names a ship for a Spanish dictator? That's just creepy. Unless it was James Franco. Actually, that'd be worse.
So, two flights. Starbuck, I'm starting to think we need you in the team heading fore. There are more raiders that way, we need someone in the opening credits there. More gritty action shots. We'll need some redshirts going aft, possibly Helo too, if he ever gets back. I got a postcard from him, you know. It says "Thanks so much for leaving me behind. Caprica now nuclear wasteland. Wish you were here." Not sure what to make of that.
Here are my orders:
Join Baltar in Command
Play XO-2 on Starbuck
Starbuck, I recommend you move to Sector 6 and engage the raiders there, they're the most immediate threat. May be worth a Maximum Firepower, especially if you have a spare. Doctor, on your turn I suggest you XO me. I can move vipers aft and if the raiders activated, engage them in Sector 4. I could also unleash a nuke on the basestar in Sector 1. (Nukes have the chance to destroy 3 raiders in the same sector as the basestar, so the best time to use them is when there are raiders in range too.)
Right, I think that's it! Any questions, talk to the hat.
BSG
right OK wow, I just don't even know. Let me look at these cards.
BSG
OK I think I've got it. I move to Sector six and play a red 3 Maximum Firepower to take out as many raiders as possible.
BSG
Ladies and Gentlemen, we have combat.
With a Maximum Firepower, Starbuck can attack up to 4 times. Let's see how she does, shall we?
Roll 1... 8!
One down, two to go.
Roll 2... 7!
Two's company.
Roll 3... 2.
Three's a crowd I guess.
Roll 4... 7!
But, wait! She clinches it in four.
Wow, that Starbuck sure is an amazing pilot. Or the cylon raiders are just that bad. In any case, there are no more raiders in Sector 6. Although there is still that pesky heavy raider. Oh well, you can't have everything.
ETA: Actually, that last roll was a 7, not an 8.
BSG
Nicely done!
