I swear, I so wish my FT job was editing game instructions and menus.

Anyway, glad I'm not the only one that found the rules ambiguous. I don't see the correction in the FAQ I have, but let's say that since even the designer was waffling on this, we go with what we have.

Play on, MacDuff!

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

People of the Colonies, while we must never forget the devastation the Cylons have wreaked upon us, or the many who were lost in their brutal attack, we must focus on the road ahead of us, and the survival of humanity. To that end, the Admiral says he knows the way to Earth. As your president (and smartest man alive) I will do everything within my (rather considerable) ability to bring our people to safety. Thank you, and may the gods be with us. [sets the handset down.]

[eyes Adama] Tired of my company already, Admiral? I promise I'm really quite charming if you take the time to get to know me. We should get together for a cup of tea once all the shouting and explosions are over with. But you're right, of course, the Quorum needs tending to. They're quiet edgy what with the decimation of humanity and all. Not that I blame them, it's all just terrible. Terrible. Really. All that death and destruction. It's a miracle I'm here at all. Good thing, though, if we're going to make it through this. [holds his hands up] Oh, right. Right. Shouting and explosions. I should be on my way and let you do your whole command thing. But tea, later. Okay?

Move: Discard Y1 to move to President's Office on C1.

Action: Activate President's office to draw two Quorum cards. (I imagine there's not going to be anything immediately useful so I'll just speed things up by not waiting on the results of the first draw.)

And so begins our magical love adventure. I call shotgun!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hey, can someone remind me (or Nilly up an earlier post that details, whichever's easier) the conventions for formatting in thread? I didn't really pay attention when I wasn't playing...

Italics in character remarks and we bold some stuff, right?

The conventions we've used in previous games are:

Start game-related posts with BSG (as above).

In-game role-playing can be in italics, though that was never really enforced. It's usually pretty obvious. (Possibly a good idea if you want to insult a character without insulting the player too. After all, we do have Baltar as President.)

Orders in bold. That's an important one. It keeps the distinction between discussing what we might do, and actually doing it.

That's about it.

And on that note, here's a worked example. Fuel is very hard to get back, and we can't afford to start losing it before we've even made our first jump. So:

Tea you say, Doctor? That does sound appealing. You'd better get back here then. Admiral Adama does not wait for tea! If it's to happen, it happens now! Marines, go get the Doctor. If he resists, you're authorised to break out the gentle persuaders. Ensign, ready the comfy chair. Oh, and the restraints and ball gag. Sharing a relaxing cuppa is one thing, actually having to listen to him is a bridge too far.

I choose -1 Morale, Baltar to Sickbay.

Oh, I should note, I've acted a little out of turn. Baltar's Delusional Intuition allows him to draw a skill card of any colour. Technically that happens before resolving the crisis, but I'm making the same choice mo matter what he chooses, and it's no secret.

Is that your final decision, or just an example?

If the former, what authority!
