Hey, don't worry about it. Nest full of vampires, you come get me, okay. Box full of puppies, that's more of a judgement call.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I had a nightmare last night. Jim and Dwight were sword fighting on the deck of the Queen Mary and Pam was trying to get them to stop and then Jim got stabbed and there was blood everywhere and Jim was dead and then Pam was bleeding too. It was horrible. Probably wouldn't work for your Eberron campaign, though.

Nonetheless, they should probably remain on their guard should I introduce them to any NPC called Dwight.

Actually, the big threat in this campaign is a bound fiend from the Age of Demons that I refer to as Gift of Release. At the moment all the party really knows about it is its symbol. I've used the first character in the Chinese word for 'penguin'.

to the ickily personal (character's parent vamps out on the character with all sorts of sexual overtones).

Hee. Wallybee and I are almost up to the ep where Spike recalls vamping his mother. Maybe I should take notes.

I do like the idea of making it about a PC's parents. I'm working a similar theme in one of the nightmares I've already got. Oh, and one of the changelings, I'm thinking a nightmare where she keeps losing control of her face, and it starts melting like plasticine over her skull. She needs to exert conscious control to reestablish proper structure - otherwise, her skin melts over her eyes, ears, nose and mouth, blinding and suffocating her. Each time it starts, it's harder to reverse.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I do like the idea of making it about a PC's parents.

You do realize I totally misread this.

This was one thought I had for the changeling's nightmare. The other thought I had was a nightmare where nobody has faces.

move out and draw fire

ZOMG I'm loving Yahtzee's latest review.

ION, I was wasting a bunch of time at the bookstore and flipped thru Confessions of a Part-Time Sorceress. I am not the target market for that book. However, I feel the need to write a book called "Girls' Guide to Gaming." Or maybe "Grrrls' Guide to Gaming." Except grrrls don't really need a guide I think.

not your mom's socks.

"Girls' Guide to Gaming."

this is not a bad idea.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I've used the first character in the Chinese word for 'penguin'.

does it have tentacles?

This was one thought I had for the changeling's nightmare. The other thought I had was a nightmare where nobody has faces.

I could do something like that with the changeling warlock, the one that walks around looking like a vampire and is still freaked about her fiendish heritage. Have to tie it in with her identity issues though.

does it have tentacles?

See, the tentacle fetish among aberrations and the Far Realms just gives me the irrits. Why is it always tentacles? It's discrimination against cephalopods, that's what it is.

Anyway, Gift of Release (my brother thinks he needs female cultists, so they can be Slave Women of GoR) is basically all about the madness and corruption. His minions will include obyrith demons (I plan to have the PCs meet - in fact, effectively complete the ritual that will summon - his Sibriex vizier, when they're 3rd level just to freak them out), and the odd rakshasa of course. (GoR's chaotic, so it will be the odd rakshasa.) I also want it to be well supplied with vermin, especially wasps. [link] Check out the video of the Japanese giant hornet.)

So to sum up, I'm thinking more of an insectile theme to this guy's freakiness.
