or does she have 4 cards now (she shouldn't)
She had 2 at the end of Apollo's turn. She drew 2 more. That gives a total of 4. As Helo said, when you go Cylon, you toss cards to get to 3, but you aren't limited to 3, as far as I know.

Whoops, you're right. So sorry! We've been playing it wrong IRL. Anyway, knowing how many cards Boomer has is good (4).

Having just re-read the rules, I note with some relief however that Cylons can only play 1 card into a skill check though. That limits how much damage they can do (though 2 Cylons each with a 4 or 5 point card can still easily screw us over). And in this case I note both Boomer and Apollo have a lot of Yellow and Red. We may possibly need as much as 23-25 points to achieve this.

Just for the record, rules on page 20, for those you following along with DQ the Dunderhead:

Revealed Cylon players only draw two Skill Cards on their turns. A revealed Cylon player may – at his option – play one (and only one) Skill Card into each skill check that is resolved.

Revealed Cylon players may not use actions or abilities listed on Skill Cards. They must continue to obey the hand limit rule, and discard down to 10 Skill Cards at the end of each player’s turn.

Let's try to get a bit of a boost from destiny here. I play a B3 Scientific Research

I can help a lot with the check, but I won't have many cards left when I'm done.

I think that we need to pass this if we can.

Like I said, let's hold off playing into the check until I can verify my counts when I get home and we see about destiny's hand.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Do you mean by this that she needs to be at 3 or below? Because that's only when you reveal. I believe that as a revealed cylon you can still eventually accumulate up to 10 cards.

Also note that the limits on hand sizes apply at the end of the turn. You can still have more cards during the turn, as long as you spend them.

Excellent! We are now ready to begin. Since this check has pulled the last two cards from the Destiny Deck, it has been reshuffled. In the process of doing that, it depleted Leadership AND Engineering decks. That said, let's get this party started! Nothing says fun like inbound nukes.

Destiny Deck: R3, B4

Helo:
Tigh:
Chief:
Apollo:
Boomer:
Running Total: 1 out of 15

First step, Mr President. What say you?

Once again, science comes through on our side.

Really not liking this one. Not only the 3 resource hit (especially food) but both Cylons running up the tail end of the check. If you all can get us close or there, hopefully I can push it far enough beyond pass that the Cylons can't fail it for us.

Once again, science comes through on our side.

Your last two SRs swung a total difference of 18 points your way. That's less than a 1% chance of happening. Not to mention that it was under 50/50 whether you'd have an SR in the first place (given Destiny's contribution).

Good fortune tends to swing back and forth in a game like this, but I have to confess I'm pretty pissed off with the cards right now.

Well, we now need at least 14 for sure to pass.

Right now, I figure there are the following big yellows outstanding: Y3, Y4, Y5 (1 of each). For reds there are three R3 cards, R4, R5.

If the other humans can account for any of those, it would be good to know.

Prior to red being reshuffled on Apollo's turn, only two R3s were outstanding. And Apollo only drew 1 red from the reshuffled deck and Boomer 1 red. So, while it is possible that they each drew the two highest reds, it is unlikely.

But, we have to assume they could play at least 6 Y/R, meaning we need at least 20 for a good chance of passing, potentially up to 24 if the humans can't account for the outstanding Y/R.

Zarek can't help, and sadly my cards are as measly as Tigh's seem to be. I'd say that if Chief can't come up with at least half of what we need, we stand little chance of passing.

pobre sita. Little toaster is sad. Don't forget, you can't hear a cylon scream in space.
