non-BSG!

I went to the Goodwill store, seeing if they had any inexpensive bar stools for my new apartment. And what did I see on the shelf? An Atari Joystick! The Jacks Pacific battery operated, audio/video cable 10 games in a joystick thingy! $2! OK, why not. I get it home, and open the battery compartment to discover it's got 4 icky corroded batteries in it. Ugg. I safely extract and dispose of the batteries, "borrow" some contact cleaner from work. Viola! I have 8-bit Atari again! Woot! Reminds me of my childhood. Only now my hands smell like contact cleaner.

ETA: The games are:
Adventure
Asteroids
Breakout
Centipede
Circus Atari
Gravitar
Missile Command
Pong
Volley Ball
Yar's Revenge

And yes, I suck at 8 bit games too. Yar's Revenge seems to be my best game so far.

Ok, if Helo's got his hankering for a spankering out of his system, anyone have a preference on this one? I think we're in pretty good shape either way.

Fuel's possibly our best resource right now. 6 Fuel to cover 4 Distance is pretty comfortable. We've got all our raptors too, so it won't hurt much to lose one here.

For the other choice, Morale's still pretty good at 8. Sending me to Sickbay doesn't matter too much if I can get an XO to get out before my next turn.

I'd vote for the Fuel loss, but I'm pretty comfortable with either choice.

With 2 basestars looming over us, there's a risk of losing any resources before we manage to jump away.

Most distance cards cost fuel. If we lose ANY fuel from an attack at this point, we risk not being able to go the distance we need to. Sure, right now we're fine, but there's a lot of ways to lose it.

We've been lucky with raptors, but I don't like saccing them either. We need to be able to scout.

I don't want to lose morale either, and I don't want to send Boomer to sickbay right after she got out of the Brig. (OTOH, the sickbay is a much less worse proposition than the brig.)

But morale is higher and is less desperately needed than fuel.

I'm inclined to morale loss and sickbay, but I will hear out my advisors before making the final decision.

I found the coolest thing on Xbox Live. It's called Destination: Arcade. It's a free download (you can search for it under games) and it basically helps you find other games you might like. You can also look through all the games xbox live offers and set filters for what you're looking for - like local multiplayer, community rating, etc.

I lean towards sickbay as well, although it's a tough choice and I'm not as familiar with the nuances of the endgame and potential cards down the line.

Sacrificing fuel never sounds like a good idea to me. We can, at the moment, handle another Morale hit. And AFAIK, losing a civvie ship doesn't risk Morale, though it's possible to lose Fuel.

Sorry Boomer. Doc Cottle needs to check you out to make sure the prison food didn't do anything dire to your immune system.

And the sheer mention of Doc Cottle results in a low gloom throughout the ship.

(I choose the morale hit and current player goes to sickbay)

"Doctor, Valerii's chart says that she was caught in an inferno! Wouldn't we have heard if there'd been a fire on Galactica?"

"It's... not that sort of inferno, nurse. Have a look at the notes."

"'Severe injuries suffered to the posterior region during a -- Lesbian Spank Inferno'? What the hell? And why did you just put 'Inferno' on the chart?"

"Well, can you imagine if word were to get out that this sort of thing was happening on Galactica - and the rest of the fleet wasn't invited? Morale would plummet!"

But at the next bed over, someone was listening...

Meanwhile, I didn't get the chance to play any cards on that Crisis, so I need to discard three cards. Behold the awesome power of my hand!

I discard:
Red-1
Red-1
Blue-1

I'll also exercise my Recon ability.
