Oh well. Still, it's moot as I have no plans to play the game a second time. I only intend to play it through the first time up until the point that it does something to annoy or bore me.
You know, I thought Fallout 3 might be like that for me. Then I put over 100 hours in it (when I barely put over 60 in any game).
OTOH, I'm not an FPS player; I'm an obsessive RPGer with exploration tendencies, so that might be why. YMMV.

We will indeed (hopefully with a jump icon). There's a fair chance I'll be able to play more cards (or have to discard); but there are also a lot of Crisis Cards that don't involve skill checks, or that have a skill check but with only YG positive.
On the assumption that we pass this from here (i.e. that no one spikes it), allow me to recommend:
1. If we get a skill check with Purple, Red and/or Blue positive (especially more than one of them), by all means leave some work for me. My cards are not as mighty as I'd like, but they are numerous.
2. If we get a crisis card with a discard option (like the Food or Water Shortages), I can discard cheaply.
