Omnis, the headline of your post should read "Summary".

Ha! That is awesome. Yes, grammar and spelling are not my strong points. Thank you for that correction. I would much rather that mistake then the others that have plagued my first foray into GM'ing.

Hello my cast members from Lost In Space. Seems our CAG woke up in the bathtub packed in ice with a nasty scar on his side. There was a note. Something about the Gall Bladder being a delicacy on Tauron. Something to do with virility or something. I don't understand.

That said, he is PISSED, and wants some new laws passed to make this practice illegal. As a result, he has elected to draw 2 yellow (Politics) cards for his optional card draw. We await his thoughts, and look forward to advising him on his turn.

Okay gang the CAG is back in business. If I'm reading the situation correctly we are in a bit of a lull. I could send a raptor out to scout the area, or I could XO someone, or I can move and work a location. Any input?

You know, with a recovery that quick I feel as if my manliness has been challenged.

As we're about to jump, I vote for scouting.

(I know billytea mentioned a 3 destination, but wouldn't a 2 be better at this point? A 3 would bring on the cylon onslaught and we'd still need at least 2 cards to reach Earth, whereas a 2 would give us some breathing room (and we could still have the possibility of reaching Earth with two cards).

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm for scouting. If 3 distance brings on cylon onslaught I'm for 2 also. But if the top card is three distance I'd rather take it than discard and risk the next top card being a 1.

Oh yes, I agree with that. I'm just saying that a two might actually be preferable. But I'd only bury a 1 at this point.

I tend to have terrible luck with drawing distance cards, you want to try to make that better in any way, please be my guest.

I'm in favour of scouting. If President Zarek can do it (do you have any Launch Scouts, Mr President?), then I suggest an XO to him - he could use the second action either to scout again (if possible) or to work the President's Office for more Quorum cards.

I would still pick a 3-Distance over a 2-Distance, even though it means I'd be in the Brig from next jump. We have the Sympathiser sorted, so no need to slow down on that account. If we take a 2-Distance jump, we'll quite likely still need another four jumps to reach the end; with a 3-Distance jump, we'll be more likely to need only three more jumps. Outside chance, with another 3-Distance and Legendary Discovery, that we'd only need two.

An XO to the Ex-Con, er, President seems to be prudent. What do you say Mr. Zarek, do you have Launch Scouts?

(Mr President, if you do have an LS, may I also suggest you also put in COs for if Apollo gives you an XO? (If one of your actions is launching a scout, don't forget to include whether you play an SP in your CO.)
