PS: My new card draw was not actually sent. Cylons have been interrupting transmissions apparently.
Curious. I have resent it. Damn cylons jamming our signals.

So sayeth we all... well, ok, maybe just the ex-con. Said and done Mr. President. Food is now down to 5!

Activation is meaningless since nothing is in the air. Jump track is advanced one step. Wow, into the blue without any DRADIS contacts. Y'all are lucky!

End of turn summery to follow shortly, followed by an e-mail to the Chief with his card draw.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I will Move to the Armory and Play a B2 Repair. For my bonus action, I play a Y1 Consolidate Power for 2 more Yellow cards.

You know, Chief, if you'd wanted us to have more Yellow, an XO to me would've allowed us to draw twice as many new cards.

In the course of drawing two yellow cards, the Politics deck was depleted, and reshuffled.

Congratulations crew, your tin box is all fixed up. No more damage to the old bird.

Next step is the Chief draws a crisis card. Stop if this sounds familiar:
Food Shortage
President Choice

E-mail sent with details. Discuss.

Assuming that players can choose which cards they discard (can they?), my vote is for losing only 1 food, which is all we need to go into red.

You can choose which cards to discard unless you're Apollo, IIRC--that his discards are random is his weakness.

Bleah choice. I'd almost rather be attacked by cylons at this point (knock wood that I don't jinx us).

Speaking of XOing people to draw cards, people can also XO me now to draw cards from the research lab; we're a little short on blues IIRC. More tactics is never bad either.

Of course, should emergencies arise, I'm also all for XOs being saved to go toward protecting the fleet with military actions, or to be otherwise used as the players best see fit.

Chief, sounds like you are proposing the "Shotgun" option. One of everything.

Agreed. We need only lose one more, and don't want to overdo it.

Actually, as fleets go we're pretty good with Blue. It rarely turns up in skill checks, and when it does, Purple is invariably positive too. The only other thing we need it for is repairs, and with the Chief on board (Mr Fix-It extraordinaire) and even one backup (me), our need for more is pretty limited.

Tactics is useful. However, we draw 9 Tactics per cycle, spread over all players except the Chief. Our Politics draw per cycle is generally less than half that, and not only does Yellow count positive fairly often (albeit usually in the company of Green), but that's where the ICs live.
