Sorry for the delay. I was detained a bit at work, and then mom called just as I got home, and that's always at least an hour call.

All orders are in! Woot!

But wait! Now that the crisis check is done, you get to watch one of the Basestars pump out 4 more raiders. Cool huh?

We start round 2.1! Amazing, you aren't dead yet. You should be proud of that. Now remember, those dots on the DRADIS screen aren't skittles to snack on later, those are enemies that are breathing down your neck. You have a pair of RSV's that are in danger in sector 6. Your jump track is in the blue, so you could jump, but run the risk of killing off some population. Your resources are still all in the black, but only one is at the starting point, however, y'all haven't moved an inch yet! Yikes!

That is the state of the colonies at the end of round 1. I have sent Boomer her card draw. We await to see what her uncanny knowledge leads her to MOVE and ACT.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Look at that, our moderator is fearmongering. There is mongering of fear going on in this very thread.

Our moderator is also not sending me the cards I want, i.e. the other raptor pilots are shunning me (no scouting). It's jealousy, that's what it is. Just because I've become the face of Galactica. (But not in a creepy Belinda kind of way.)

I therefore have limited options. From here it will take three raider activations (with no jump icons) before there's even a chance of losing a civvie. Since the military situation is in hand, my orders are:

Move: None
Action: Activate the Press Room again

It's not ideal, I now have too many cards and may have to discard. However, in the absence of a scouting mission, it's about the most useful thing I can do right now.

A couple of thoughts: first, if my Crisis Card doesn't have a jump icon, and someone else can scout, it might be good to have a look at the Destination Deck on Zarek's turn. Someone other than the Admiral would be best. (On the other hand, if we're unfortunate enough to pull an attack card, I vote for an early FTL jump. A risk of 1 Pop would be worth it, and I can help with the planning.)

Your (lack of) move has been noted. Your activation of the Press Room has resulted in more feedback, and not the positive kind, the squeeley annoying kind. Ugg. Another round of this idiot on the mic. Your new cards have been e-mailed to you.

I guess this means I get to pick the Crisis Card now. Wow, that was fast.

eta:

Might as well make this one big post.

Your crisis card is:
Colonial Day
It's a players choice. Details to follow in an e-mail blast to the group.

That's not feedback, my voice always sounds like that. And I'll thank you to show a little sympathy, it's not so easy sounding like a cheerleader from the Valley when your nickname's Boomer.

Chance to raise Morale, nice. I'm inclined to go for the skill check (and play an IC, because raising Morale is just that good). Anyone think we can't manage it?

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I can help with the check.
