Pretty cool except for the part where I was really terrified and now my knees are all dizzy.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Omnis (Apollo), ND (Adama), and I (Roslin) were human. ND's friends (Helo, Starbuck) were Cylons.

Starbuck (pre-Cylon) made ND Pradmiral after just a couple of rounds. At the time, I was pretty sure neither was a Cylon, and, after initially suspecting me, ND knew pretty quickly I wasn't a Cylon. Sadly, we were not sure about Omnis and so did not listen to his call to brig Helo, who had been a Cylon all along. Sorry Omnis!! This led to our eventual downfall and Cylon victory.

The game was pretty unusual (apparently) in that we went long stretches with not a lot on the board. The set-up and early rounds took a lot of time and the game went until 4am. Craziness! But now I want to go back and read the games on this thread. They should make a lot more sense now.

ETA: BSG x-post!

Tis the nature of the game. No worries. I didn't push too hard, because I knew if I squeaked too loud, it might be seen as being a cylon. Eh. It was fun!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

MW was Madam President. ND was Pappy Admiral. I was Apollo.

Oh, the daddy issues. Did you occasionally tell him "All I ever wanted was to make you proud of me!" as you flounced out of the room? (I mean, more than usual?)

Sadly, we were not sure about Omnis and so did not listen to his call to brig Helo, who had been a Cylon all along.

I've seen a game once where a Cylon Helo pulled quite a neat little tactic. Helo starts on Caprica, and doesn't get his first turn; but it also means that he can't be brigged. In this game, the fleet came under early attack, they were pretty hard pressed, and then they drew the crisis "Sleep Deprivation". Two choices, either lose 1 Morale, or take all the vipers off the board.

Well, given the attack underway, the Admiral chose the -1 Morale. Helo then used his OPG ability to change the Admiral's decision, and recall all the vipers. Well, it was obvious Helo was a toaster, but they couldn't do anything about it. He sat on Caprica, spiking skill checks, until his second turn. He appeared on the Hangar Deck long enough to reveal and damage Galactica twice.

But the game lasted SIX HOURS! It was fun.

That is a long game. It can happen, especially when you have players learning how the game works.

Sure enough, when her turn came around, she played her card and made me PrAdmiral. Oh ya, ND was PrAdmiral for the bulk of the game.

Rules check: I assume she sent Adama to the Brig? If you're sent to the Brig, you lose the Admiralty, but not the Presidency, so Adama should've stayed President. (Not that it would've made a difference really. It mostly matters when you don't know who can be trusted.)

But now I want to go back and read the games on this thread. They should make a lot more sense now.

You could also check out the play-by-forum games on BoardGameGeek; they have board graphics too, which makes it easier to follow: [link] Most of the games have both the play forum and a turn-by-turn summary. I shall tootle my own horn a little and suggest the first game in which I played, #9, is a pretty exciting one, with some killer betrayals and a desperate fightback. [link]

Doooo eeeet. Then join in on the next game here. (How's your timeframe looking, omnis?)

My schedule should be MUCH lighter starting this week or so. Hopefully. - Although, I think my backbone is having troubles. It seems to be a bit flimsy and weak at the thought of GM'ing for the first time.

At some point, ND was able to pass his presidency to us and he had given it to Omnis based on how we were seated around the table.

When ND was brigged via Cylon outing action, the Admiralty shifted to me. Then after both cylons were outed, another crisis card caused him to shift the Presidency. Since MW could get Quarom cards via special ability, ND thought it best to make me PrAdmiral so I had access to some Quorom Cards as well.
