omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I'd be in for it.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Are you volunteering to GM, omnis?

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I'd be in for playing BSG again.

I recently realized that while I'd wanted to start running a D&D game in May or June, and May's almost over, the basement's still a wreck and I haven't worked on any of the campaign material since January. This doesn't bode well for my ability to find the time to do the DM-work between sessions if I do manage to get the game started.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I beat Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 this weekend. I died a lot, and there were some really awesome parts of the game, but I felt a little disappointed after all the hype. I don't think I felt the visceral HOLY CRAP THIS GAME RULES as much as I did in the first game. Although, like they say, that airport level still haunts me.

Holy crap!

I picked up a copy of RDR today, and I'm just watching the opening movie right now. The graphics are AMAZING! The faces are EASILY the best I've ever seen. This is clearly a byproduct of Rockstar's work on next year's L.A. Noir.

For those who aren't aware, L.A. Noir is a cop noir video game set in '40's Los Angeles, with the standard Rockstar free-roam. Quite a bit of effort has been put into faithfully recreating '40's L.A.

In addition, since the bulk of that game is about you as a police officer rising through the ranks to become a detective, L.A. Noir will feature the most advanced face modeling technology for a video game EVER.

Why?

So that you can tell if the suspects you are questioning are lying or telling the truth.

Based on their facial expressions.

It is literally impossible for me to be more excited about an upcoming video game.

Oh. Yeah. The other HUGE thing about L.A. Noir? Every single object in the game will be interactive. Every book, every bottle, every scrap of paper. Any of them may be clues.

Every. Single. Object.

I think it's supposed to have major advancements in conversation trees too, but after the readable faces and universal interactivity, conversation trees seem small potatoes.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Every. Single. Object.

Good God. Pete can never, ever have this game. Because he would never, ever stop playing.

(Actually, he hasn't been playing that much RDR, because he's on a deadline.)

L.A. Noir has been on my shopping list for a long time. However, it has had a troubled production. I won't make a final buying decision until I'm able to see a lot more of the game.

move out and draw fire

However, it has had a troubled production.

With that kind of goal, I can see why.
