Um. Dante's Inferno has an M rating. Ya, that is well earned. The opening movie is pretty gruesome. I got to Limbo at first try. Um. Ya, I suck. Had to bump down to easy setting.

BSG
I've been working with billytea to get his fabulous sheets understandable for others to use. I think I've hashed through it pretty good. But. Looking at it all, I realize, with 3 shows and a gala in the next 4-6 weeks, I'm probably not the best person to run the game. BT has it pretty sweet, so that you can run the show from the excel sheets, don't even need a copy of the board game. It helps as a reference, no doubt, but not needed. So? Anyone game?

BSG
Anyhow. bt just linked me to another game tracking option that is amazingly simple. It works in OpenOffice, which is nice (as I am too poor/cheap to buy Excel). I will play with it some more tonight when I get off of work.
That said, I could GM, but, again, with my work schedule, it'll be really crazy the next 6 weeks. And if I take this CA gig, my life will be crazy through June at least. Oy.
Play is one thing, but GM'ing... I don't want to leave my peeps out in the cold. Is anyone else interested?
There's no way I could consider doing the GM thing until maybe this summer. Right now I'm scheduled to be in and out of town and probably on and off some cruise ships for the next couple of months.

It always goes quiet after a big BSG blowout.
And no, no way in hell can I GM. I was all too aware of hoe much effort it took before I ever jumped into the BSG game and it is why BT has my admiration for doing it so well.
ION, Borderlands is still crack. Red Dead Redemption comes out in May.

This is a reason I favour omnis or Laga to run the game. They're both maintaining a high posting frequency already. Note: I'm running games more smoothly now three games in than I did at the start. I also spend a fair amount of time dealing with things that can be left up to the players. If you're interested in running a game, don't feel you need to do as much as I did, or as quickly.
I have some friends coming in from out of town at the end of the month. I'm seriously considering attmepting to run a game starting the first week of April.
I am not interested in GMing, for the record. I would be interested in playing again--but am also cool with waiting until omnis or Laga or another willing GM feels s/he has time.
All my run-the-game energies go toward a RL Pathfinder game I've been running for a little over a year (well, it's only been Pathfinder since October, but I've been greatly enjoying the changes).

Hmm, I wonder if MiracleMan is available? He was an awesome GM for our Serenity game. Alas, he doesn't frequent in here.
Portal 2
So, the latest issue of Game Informer magazine (Game Spot's magazine) has an extensive cover spread on Portal 2. Where the first Portal was kind of a mini-game, which is why it was included in the Orange Box. Portal 2 will be a full size game, released on it's own. There are almost no details I can include that are not major spoilers for the end of the first Portal, but I feel like I can say that in Portal 2, you will be playing Chell again, and your main antagonist will again be GLaDOS. And she does remember you.
The article includes the text of GLaDOS' speech when she first sees you early in P2, and it's chilling. But of course, I smiled as I read it, because I can't wait to hear that chirpy menace again.
Other non-spoilery bits: Portal 2 includes many new ways of interacting with portals and affecting your environment, and features a similar progression of levels teaching how to think with portals and your new toys. However, in the new game, the types on conditions of your environments will be vastly varied and different from the first game.
Also, while GLaDOS remains the primary antagonist of the game, aided by both familiar and new drones, there will also be other AIs you encounter during your travels.
I really can't wait.
