And no, no way in hell can I GM. I was all too aware of hoe much effort it took before I ever jumped into the BSG game and it is why BT has my admiration for doing it so well
First, who you calling a "hoe"!? Second, Yes, bt has a ton of admiration. Which is why I want to see him play.
Hmm, I wonder if MiracleMan is available? He was an awesome GM for our Serenity game. Alas, he doesn't frequent in here.
Portal 2
So, the latest issue of Game Informer magazine (Game Spot's magazine) has an extensive cover spread on Portal 2. Where the first Portal was kind of a mini-game, which is why it was included in the Orange Box. Portal 2 will be a full size game, released on it's own. There are almost no details I can include that are not major spoilers for the end of the first Portal, but I feel like I can say that in Portal 2, you will be playing Chell again, and your main antagonist will again be GLaDOS. And she
does
remember you.
The article includes the text of GLaDOS' speech when she first sees you early in P2, and it's chilling. But of course, I smiled as I read it, because I can't wait to hear that chirpy menace again.
Other non-spoilery bits: Portal 2 includes many new ways of interacting with portals and affecting your environment, and features a similar progression of levels teaching how to think with portals and your new toys. However, in the new game, the types on conditions of your environments will be vastly varied and different from the first game.
Also, while GLaDOS remains the primary antagonist of the game, aided by both familiar and new drones, there will also be other AIs you encounter during your travels.
I really can't wait.
It will also include a co-op campaign.
Crap. Now I need to finish Dragon Age, and then Mass Effect. I've been too busy to play computer games, maybe I need to reprioritize.
It will also include a co-op campaign.
IT WILL ALSO HAVE A MAC VERSION
A couple of choice, spoilery bits of GlaDOS dialog from the Portal 2 article:
When you meet GLaDOS for the first time in P2:
"Oh, it's you... It's been a really long time. How have you been? I've been really busy being dead. You know... after you murdered me? Okay look, we both said a lot of things that you are going to regret. But I think we should put our differences behind us. For science. You monster."
From a later Aperture Science Labs Test Chamber introduction:
"We're a lot alike, you and I. You tested me. I tested you. You killed me. I -- oh, no, wait. I guess I haven't killed you yet. Well. Food for thought during this next test."
Oh, hilarious, wonderful dialogue.
For me, the big news out of Valve is that Steam is coming to the Mac. This will mean I will be able to play Team Fortress 2 with all the extra maps and class add-ons that they simply haven't found a way to fit onto the 360.
We still all need to meet for some Halo shenanigans.
Yes. Yes we do. Especially now that I own Halo 3.
