Our wings are not tired

I have Strategic Planning.

BSG

I nuke the basestar in Sector 3 and use a Strategic Planning card on the roll.

I also use Command to order the RSV in sector 5 to take out some toasters!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

BSG

Admiral Adama has fired a nuke at the basestar in Sector 3, and has used an SP-3 on the die roll.

Nuke roll: 5 + 2 = 7. Basestar and three raiders destroyed!

For his second action, Adama activates Command for the RSV in Sector 5 to attack the heavy raider twice. This die roll may also be modified by an SP, so we'll pause for interrupts. Everyone, please pass or play. In addition, Helo's reroll was not needed against the basestar, and may be applied to attacking the heavy raider. Helo, do you wish to use your reroll on either the first or second shot, if need be?

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I pass on sp for the attack on the raider.

Good shooting Pop! Cleared half the big guys out of the sky.

bt- did the basestar in sector 1 have damage from earlier??

No, it hasn't been attacked yet. Prior to your first jump, you did have a damaged basestar hanging out in that sector for about four turns, but this one's fresh and feisty.

Hard to keep them all straight. They all look the same to me.

I'm so sorry everyone, I had no idea Apollo was such a racist!

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

BSG

"Nicely done, Admiral."

I'll use my re-roll on the second RSV shot, if necessary.

I have passes on all interrupts. The viper attacks the heavy raider:

Shot 1: 2. Miss.
Shot 2: 4. Miss. Helo applies his reroll:
Shot 2a: 2. Miss. The heavy raider survives.

That concludes Adama's, and hence Helo's, action. Now, Helo made a comment a little while ago:

At some point we're going to get crisis that hits another resource. Hopefully.

I would like to point out, lest you think I'm a one-trick GM, that you've also lost 1 Fuel and 1 Morale to Crisis Cards. I have hit things other than Food in the past.

But not this time. Your Crisis Card is:

Food Shortage - D
President's Choice

President Zarek, when you're ready, please post your choice.

(from the e-mail)

Again with the Food. Yeesh! As much as it will hurt to discard all those cards, we can't keep losing Food like this. I vote for the discard.
I agree. The good news is, at least we jump away from all this, so gives us (hopefully) a round to catch up on some cards.

Yeah, jumping is good, but I can't help but feel like we wasted a nuke, as effective as it was. (Of course, we could have just as easily got another crisis with firing basestars or boarding cylons and no jump prep.)
