You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Consider it buried. I hope you all like its replacement:

Cylon Swarm
Cylon attack

Effect: a bunch of ships is added to the board.

move out and draw fire

Pete or anyone: Can I get a review of Borderlands? I'm looking for a co-op RPG, and Borderlands gets high marks...but it looks like it's more post-apocalyptic than fantasy, right?

Aside from the wrapper, what's the co-op gameplay like? It it point-and-click-and-kill? Or is there mroe to it?

"Oh no! Has falling sky liquid once again caused you the sadness?" -Starfire

Does anyone know of any games similar to Eternal Sonata? I loved that game so much mostly because my boyfriend and I could sit down and play it together. It doesn't seem like there are many RPGs like that. (Hated the extreme preachiness at the end though!)

Well, frak. That didn't work. Sorry, guys.

Priorities would be getting someone airborn in sector 6 (which is where that horde of raiders is moving next.) and taking out that basestar before it can launch more hordes.

I'm ready to launch but let's get Helo firing first.

Borderlands is actually on a backwater colonized planet, but the vibe is totally post-apocalyptic. It's really not an RPG though, it's an FPS (First Person Shooter for you viewers just tuning in) with leveling and a procedural engine that generates (apparently) millions of variant guns.

The best description I've heard of it is that it's a current-gen version of Diablo.

Being an FPS, there's obviously way more to dealing with enemies than point and click. And boy, once you've got a decent gun you can expect limbs to be blown off and some people exploded into a cloud of giblets.

The co-op (up to 4 players) is fun but can get a bit frantic as the enemies scale to the amount of players. I think I prefer playing solo or with 1 other player.

It is also crack. Oh god, I can't even imagine how much time I've put into it. I'm addicted.

With the raiders close to the mothership, now might be a good use for the first nuke. Especially with that nasty after taste this crisis card has.

So the first two character-concepts the players in the D&D "3.75" game I'm starting this spring have given me are a ninja/wu jen bastard son of royalty out to gain power and leverage to make a claim on the throne and a cleric/monk the player says is going to be like a cross between Buddha and Kung Fu Panda.

It should be an interesting campaign.
