I tell you I have this theory. It goes where, you're the one who's not my sister. Cuz mom adopted you from a shoe box full of baby howler monkeys, and never told you cuz it could hurt your delicate baby feelings.

Seriously? I think cards are pretty depleted and putting it to a die roll is better. YTMMV

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

skill check

SKILL: Successfully distinguish between raiders and base stars.

OUTCOME: FAIL

Let's go with the skill check.

Apollo, I'll ask for you to confirm this by putting it in bold, just to make it clear this is a decision. (Meanwhile, I'll remind everyone that they can send me COs for interrupts and plays into the check.)

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I have COs from Mr Zarek: Play an IC-4 interrupt. All cards in this check will be played open.

We will wait for all players with Blue cards to pass or play on a Scientific Research interrupt; then we will start the check with Chief Tyrol. Apollo will finish the check.

Apollo! Are you right in the head? What are you thinking? Skill Check? 13? That's a high number! We can't risk loosing civilians AND morale! Did you see that last skill check? Someone(s) really threw a wrench in the system. I think I'm going to have to be the voice of reason, and go with the DICE ROLL!

---- Helo uses his once per game ability to change the choice of the Crisis Card, and go with a 50/50 odds on not killing civilians.

(Does Zarek get his IC-4 back?)

Helo steps in to overrule Apollo - your fate is now in the hands of Lady Luck!

He does, and I will call instead for Strategic Planning interrupts. Anyone who has one, please pass or play.

I don't suppose I get that reroll thing, since I used my powers to affect the turn. Ya, I didn't think so. Actually I knew so.

BSG

May the gods be with us with this roll.

No, your reroll only works on your own turn. Even if someone else were to XO you on their turn, you couldn't use your reroll then. (Conversely, you could XO someone on your turn and use your reroll on their action.)

went to a gaming night tonight. Played all new games for me, and did well! Played Carcassonne twice. Tied the first time and kicked ASS the 2nd time. Also played 10 day trip USA a few times. O so close, but never won. And I forget the name of the 3rd game. One with 'jewels' and merchants. Had a middle eastern look to it. A barter game. It was good.
