If they're in the hangar deck I can't decide if I should move there and repair them or stay where I am and fire on the base star.

No, the order is strictly move then action. If you wish to fire on the basestar you'll need to stay put. The damaged vipers are back at the Hangar Deck, so you have the option of moving there to repair them.

If that basestar spits out any more spawn, we will go from screwed to royally screwed. The rsv can take on the raiders. There is nothing to take on the mothership. I really think you should stay in weapons and fire on the big one in sector 5.
