Helo's Crisis Card is:

Guilt by Collusion
Skill Check (9 GP)

We will pause for possible interrupts - Investigative Committee and Scientific Research are options. Everyone, please pass or play.

No interrupts from Tigh.

Also, the pass includes the word "may" so if we can pass it, brigging someone is optional. Obviously Tigh thinks it should be that 'reformed' terrorist but, y'know, no pressure...

A quick question for BT; can Omnis use his regular power of a reroll this turn even though he's on Caprica? I ask because I think Apollo may need all the help he can get as he's going to have 3 Raiders firing on him.

He can indeed, and Helo, feel free to leave COs as to the use of your reroll.

I think it should be that vandal who broke my basestar.

The lovely Game Master has sent me an interesting quandry. Assuming we PASS this check, which we really should, given how low morale is, and it's only the first round, he states:

One other rules implication: if you brig Pradmiral Tigh, he remains President, but the Admiralty passes to the highest non-brigged person in the line of succession, which is... you.

Now, this early in the game, with enemy birds in the air, and nobody acting too shifty just yet, and the card saying "may", I'm inclined to *NOT* brig anyone. BUT! Given the opportunity to un-entwine the two power positions, it would be an interesting idea. I'm certainly open to discussion on it.

You would brig the man that is leading the fleet? The man who performed the vastly strategic act of asking Tyrol to go to Weapons Control? The man who ensured the 'reformed' terrorist Zarek was no longer President? The man who was not afraid to have the results of his Cylon-screening made public?

Are you MAD?

I don't see the need to brig anyone yet and after the last game you should know what happens when you start brigging people with very little reason. Or did you want some more Sinatra piped into your cell?

Or you could just brig Zarek. He's clearly a trouble maker, Cylon or not.

I am merely being the voice of reason here. All the power concentrated in one person is dangerous. You would still have the Presidency.

Again, as I said up there. I only bring it up for discussion. My first instinct is to not brig anyone without some cause.

But I can see why *YOU* wouldn't want to be brigged, and why you are so vocal against the idea. Anyone else want to pipe up with an opinion?

Now, if you'll excuse me. Boomer found some more cigarettes. Which means we need an excuse for smoking them. And we all know what the best excuse that is. Sorry Chief. She's HOT! and well, we are stranded!

While I'm all for separating the two power positions, I'm not sure this is the best way of doing that. Especially in the middle of a fire fight.

That said, I'm not sure how often we're going to get oppurtunities to separate the two postions.

Regardless, I can help a little with the check.

Pradmiral Tigh, I do not envy you the choice you were forced to make. For what it's worth - and though this makes me sound like a sympathizer, if not a Cylon agent altogether - I think you made the only rational decision, as grim and cold-hearted as that sounds.

Brigging me, however, would not *help* the citizens of the Colonies, or yourself, in any fashion. It doesn't remove my lines of communication, and actually only *hurts* you, by denying you most of the access to whatever resources I can bring to bear on your behalf.

I have also checked the Articles of Colonization; nothing prevents me from standing for election as President from Galactica's brig. Or even serving as President from inside the brig.

We're running for our lives here, Pradmiral. Don't pick even more fights - especially ones you have very little chance of winning, considering who has decades of experience as a political campaigner...and who has lived for decades at the bottom of an ambrosia bottle.

Bitterness and hostility aside, I am able to help a little with the choice ahead of us, and will do so.
