I am merely being the voice of reason here. All the power concentrated in one person is dangerous. You would still have the Presidency.
Again, as I said up there. I only bring it up for discussion. My first instinct is to not brig anyone without some cause.
But I can see why *YOU* wouldn't want to be brigged, and why you are so vocal against the idea. Anyone else want to pipe up with an opinion?
Now, if you'll excuse me. Boomer found some more cigarettes. Which means we need an excuse for smoking them. And we all know what the best excuse that is. Sorry Chief. She's HOT! and well, we are stranded!

While I'm all for separating the two power positions, I'm not sure this is the best way of doing that. Especially in the middle of a fire fight.
That said, I'm not sure how often we're going to get oppurtunities to separate the two postions.
Regardless, I can help a little with the check.

Pradmiral Tigh, I do not envy you the choice you were forced to make. For what it's worth - and though this makes me sound like a sympathizer, if not a Cylon agent altogether - I think you made the only rational decision, as grim and cold-hearted as that sounds.
Brigging me, however, would not *help* the citizens of the Colonies, or yourself, in any fashion. It doesn't remove my lines of communication, and actually only *hurts* you, by denying you most of the access to whatever resources I can bring to bear on your behalf.
I have also checked the Articles of Colonization; nothing prevents me from standing for election as President from Galactica's brig. Or even serving as President from inside the brig.
We're running for our lives here, Pradmiral. Don't pick even more fights - especially ones you have very little chance of winning, considering who has decades of experience as a political campaigner...and who has lived for decades at the bottom of an ambrosia bottle.
Bitterness and hostility aside, I am able to help a little with the choice ahead of us, and will do so.

I am thoroughly against anyone actually being brigged in the first turn unless there's a damn good reason for it. There isn't. And Kalshane, there are MANY opportunities to brig someone, including the Admiral's Quarters location.
It's possible I may have skimmed past this -

At this time, I think it would be bad to brig anyone. What with all the birds in the air and all.
