Ok, die roll. Thanks to the structural damage, this roll is at +2.

Die roll: 6 + 2 = 8. Hit! Damage token:

Critical hit! Basestar destroyed. Ouch. I like my basestars.

Ok, so you guys are breathing a little easier, but some civvies have wandered into a trap. Zarek's Crisis Card is:

Rescue the Fleet
Admiral's Choice

Admiral, when you're ready please post your choice.

"Galactica, Apollo. Nice shooting, Chief! Now if Starbuck ever finishes painting flames on the side of her viper, we can mop up these raiders."

"Excellent work, Chief Tyrol. Thank you for trusting me; I'm perfectly well aware that I have zero authority over you, and you could have chosen to do anything at all - especially since firing those weapons isn't really part of your normal deck-chief job. Nice shooting, and I'm glad it was you at those controls instead of me."

Rescue the Fleet - Admiral's Choice

Oh holy crap.

Way I see it, if I go with the second option, I'm not only allowing our lowest resource to drop, I'm probably dooming far more than 2 population as we'd have 5 civilian ships behind Galactica and only one Viper vs 3 Raiders that are almost in Sector 4.

Also, an FYI, unless someone XO's Apollo he probably won't get to fire on the Raiders before they fire on him.

Hold that thought...

I edited my previous post as no one had yet carried out the order.

I have to confirm with BT, BT is it going to take the Cylons one activation to fire on Apollo, a second to enter Sector 4, and a third to fire on Civilians, assuming Starbuck hasn't intercepted them?

So, three more turns AT LEAST before the firing?

I'm sure everyone else has seen the card, what's the feeling? Lose the population or take the risk with just a single Morale point drop?

It depends on how quickly they hit Apollo. On this activation they'll move into the same space; if they get another activation, they will fire on Apollo until theĆ½ hit him or they've all had a shot. If there are any left over (e.g. if the first raider hits him), the others will use their activation to keep moving. In that case, it might be two turns; this of course assumes that they wind up hitting Apollo, no other vipers move to protect them, and no one moves the civilian ships. If they all miss him, it'll take more activations.

Evasive Maneouvres may be used to force a reroll if he gets hit.

Not BT, but it looks like the way the rules are written, the Cylons would have to be activated once to fire on me. If any of them shoot me down, whichever are left would be able to move to sector 4 as part of that activation. On their next activation, they would start firing on civie ships unless there were any vipers to shoot at first.

So worst-case scenario (the first raider to fire shoots me down) would be 2 civies dead after 2 cylon raider activations. 2 more dead on the following activation. And the final ship dying at the next activation.

Keep in mind though, that ships have a varying amount of population on them, so each ship shot down could result in the loss of more than 1 population.

ETA: Or what BT just said.
