GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Pass.

Any further evidence necessary to prove that the military is virtually useless? I arranged their supply; I reconstructed the government; I didn't fight when Tigh stripped me of my constitutional office; and now I must act - actually, sweat blood - to prevent the people from sinking into despair.

Remember what you made me do today - when cooperation would have been so much cheaper in the long run, and it is a very long run to safety. At least Tigh, convalescing in Sick Bay, can't hit the OFF switch on Colonial One's wireless.

"Attention, citizens of the Twelve Colonies! This is Tom Zarek, and it is vital that you listen: a state of emergency has been declared in the fleet, requiring that you obey President/Admiral Tigh and his duly-appointed military adjutants in everything they request. The defense of the fleet in the face of this Cylon armada is difficult, but not impossible. There is strength in unity, and unity comes from common purpose and the setting-aside of personal agendas. Don't rely upon past privilege to grant you special dispensation; from now on we are all equal, all human, all citizens. I won't even call us refugees. Our home is before us, on Kobol, not behind us among the ashes of the Colonies. Take heart, remember who you are and who we all are, and work together so we can complete our journey safely, and alive."

BSG

I Declare an Emergency (of 4G strength) to reduce the check difficulty by 2, allowing is the check to PASS.

***Tigh***

These cylon screenings couldn't have been worse timed but the work's done now so just release the information. The fleet will rest easier knowing they can trust me and we can get back to the business of dealing with the Cylons trying to frakkin' blow us up!

Anyone who thinks otherwise is just keen to stir the pot and keep people scared.

I pass. I will recover this Morale with all my powers as President.

And then Tigh is informed of Zarek's announcement to the fleet. They don't have the radios turned on in sickbay, it's bad for the convalescing.

***Tigh***

He did WHAAAAAT? I told you didn't I? Zarek would hate for people to know I'm human! Hate it if people trust me! Well, frak him! Frak him to hell!

Who the hell said ex-president Zarek could address the fleet anyway?!!!

After this battle is done, we'll have words. Get me that frakkin' walking cane!

Dayamn, and we've only had 2 turns. Good times, good times.

Mutley-esque hissing snickering

I used to be able to do a perfect impression of that.

Oh, and BT: you going to tell your other BSG gamers about the craziness happening here. It can't get this mad this quickly very often surely?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

DragonCon TV has a guy who does a killer Tigh impression. This was one of my favorite videos they did this year:

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

BSG

Emergency has been declared; the check passes for no effect. Let's wrap up the card.

Cylon: raiders. They move from Sector 1 to Sector 2.

Jump Prep: no. You're still stuck at the start space (waiting for Helo to catch up, no doubt).

This concludes Captain Apollo's turn. Chief Tyrol, I'm sending you your card draw. When you're ready, please post your move and action.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

BSG

I move to wepons control and play 1 Blue to repair damage.

Because I played a repair card I get another action- I fire on one of the raiders in sector 2.
