As a matter of strategy, it seems better to conserve nigh-unrecoverable resources and spend cards, since the decks get regularly shuffled. Avoiding a Morale loss - that, AFAIK, can only have 1 point added once in a game, IF Zarek is in play - is a good thing.

A quick discussion of the resources:

Population is the resource most at risk from Cylon attacks, and is fairly often placed at risk by Crisis Cards too. I believe it's the most common way for the Cylons to win the game.

Morale is the resource most often put at risk by Crisis Cards. I think it's second in frequency to Population of ending the game. There are 4 Quorum cards that offer a chance to raise Morale by 1 (via a die roll).

Fuel will decline as you make FTL jumps, but is generally ok unless the Admiral is a Cylon. However, if you start losing Fuel for non-jump reasons, it can become an issue.

Food is mostly put at risk by Shortages, which are President's Choice. It pretty uncommon to lose on Food, but not impossible.

Wait, apologies, I have COs from Helo:

Destiny: 2 cards
Chief: No cards
Zarek: 1 card
Helo: No cards
Starbuck:
Tigh:
Apollo:

I also have COs from Starbuck, but I need to clarify them.

:: Wow, it's strange, Boomer seems kind of vague on the whole evac thing. But I can't quite figure it out. Not sure if it's the radiation, or the anti-radiation pills, either way, my head isn't thinking as clearly as it should. Thankfully there are a good supply of the pills, they don't seem to be running out as fast as I thought with two of us. Boomer sure is looking fine. Damn it! Gotta stop thinking like that. Chief will kick my ASS! ::

Helo isn't thinking clearly because the blood is running away from his brain, so to speak.

Plus, those radiation pills? Mentos.

That explains why Boomer is wanting to suck face so much (sorry Chief, I resisted as long as possible. But it was futile. She's HOT!)

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

So are we trying to pass this check or not? I'm hearing arguements both ways, but not a lot of effort to actually try and pass it based on the number of cards played so far.

The actual details come down to the order of play. Next up is Starbuck, then me, then you. You'll know if it's worth throwing in cards by the time your turn rolls around.
