See, the rational gamers I know are in DIFFERENT STATES.

(shakes his tiny fist and screams) STUPID INTERNET

Because hey, getting MM and Sean into a vampire LARP with us would be FUN.

Totally.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

But the question is, would we resurrect Skarrin and Timory, or would we go nutty and create new characters?

Skarrin

Never ever ever again. Being in that character headspace was both a symptom of, and a cause of, my own psychological dysfunction in the early 90s. I'm never going back into that space again; the Evil Overlord is about as close as I wanna get.

If you can find a small crew of rational gamers

let me know also! In fact, let the media know.

"I've got a gun! I've got a mother-flippin' gun!" - Moss, The IT Crowd

I am completely rational, and will kill any man, woman or treefrog that says otherwise.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

In the words of Niles Crane, "Don't you dare call me irrational! You know that makes me crazy!"

There's rational, and there's gamer, and then there's rational gamer.

2 out of 3 is okay.

I would join in a game of Republic of Rome. I would however caution that my experience running BSG suggests it's harder (and certainly more work for the coordinator) to manage a forum game where players don't own the game themselves.

Further news: Apparently Valley Games is reprinting Republic of Rome. [link] It has, however, experienced delays (I'm shocked! Shocked, I tell you, that a board game publication might experience delays), currently they estimate maybe November. Sean, might I suggest that we wait until it's been reprinted to kick off a game? That way people who do want to buy it can do so.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I'd love to play in a game of BSG (I was happy everytime I saw new posts in this thread.) but I sadly don't own the game even though I'd really like to after following the game here. As omnis so aptly put it: short on cash, long on Visa.
