I introduced more folks to BSG yesterday; humans lost before we'd even gotten to the halfway point. The cylon hardly did anything; just screwed with a couple skill checks and never threw SPs in to help with rolls...we just had really bad luck with combat.
After that we played Cleopatra and the Society of Architects, which I still dislike but which the host did like, so there's that.
Hee. Let us know how that turns out.
He wanted to know why Apollo wasn't Pradmiral before revealing, and how anyone had escaped the brig. And I had to debrief on when and how I decided he was a cylon (last thing he remembers is me voting for Baltar to test him).
I will not go into more detail at this time, because I talked a lot about how I think there's one other cylon, and who and why...but on that note:
BSG
Does Apollo 13 give his other loyalty card to another player now, or is that a separate action? I thought the "declare" thing was Move to the Resurrection Ship and Action give other card to another player.

I'm with you on that. Although, I may be tainted by the fact that the first time I played I let my housemate explain the rules instead of reading them for myself. He's one of those people that leaves out key information (not on purpose, he's just a bad explainer), which particularly screws you in German-style games.
BSG
If you decide on the skill check I can help a little.

Roll = 7. Hit! Slacker Grandpa Centurion bites the dust, having gone nowhere for 19 turns. Bah.
suuuWWWWEEETTT!!! Whew. That was close. OK. As for right now, we
HUMANS
are not in terrible shape. We are two jumps from home. We currently have *NO* raiders in our surrounding space. We have finally found the toaster that was standing in the corner, and eradicated it. And half the skin jobs have been found, thus reducing our negative skill check effects! Let's rally together crew, let's weed out that other skin job. Let's get to our new home, and breathe the sweet clean, natural air of EARTH!

I am really torn on this skill check folks. I can help a little. I have two other oaths of loyalty, that can only help a little. I am worried that our three little helps will not be enough to get over the 2nd Cylon and the destiny cards. It's a low number. But. Uggg. Damn it Jim, I'm a Raptor Pilot, not an Admiral. Oops, um, cross geek contamination there.
Morale & Population are in ok shape. I'm hesitant to whap Population more, in case we need to jump twice early to get to Earth. What are the other things that will zap morale?
I think we have better odds with the 50/50 of the dice roll. But I ask you, my crew. Please report your observations to help me better make this tough tough decision.
I can't help with the die roll but if we fail the skill check I might be able to make us squeak by. If we count on failing, I think losing 1 pop & 1 morale is better than losing 2 morale.
BSG
huh?
I'm not sure how specific I can be according to the table talk rules.
BSG
I don't do anything with my Loyalty card. my entire turn is "reveal my cylon nature" - it has side effects. Moving to the Resurrection Ship is part of that action; I don't get a "move" phase. And my Loyalty cards don't go to anyone else - at least I can't find anything in the rules that address anything about Loyalty cards changing hands.

No, that's a separate action. Revealing just moves you to the Resurrection Ship location, it isn't activated.

Morale is the resource most commonly placed at risk by Crisis Cards.

The FAQ has clarified that you can state you have a specific type of card (but not its value) where it's relevant. For instance, if the table is discussing maybe running a scouting mission, you can offer whether or not you can order one. (Obviously, you can't use this as a loophole to list out your whole hand.)
Anyway, here that means you can name the card you're alluding to.
