and do not care because my dog and family are dead.
This. I had
four
families when I finally confronted Lucien. All four of them died. I married again and moved in to Castle Fairfax, not knowing there was going to be a bandit attack that night, and my last wife was slain in front of me by the marauding bandits, on our wedding night, before we could even consummate the marriage.
At this point the only quests I have unresolved are things like the archaeologist, the shooting gallery, the crucible champion.... Things that don't even have much of a story. And I can't complete the archaeologist without my dog, so I think I'm done with that game.
As an aside, I did discover that if your dog is dead, and you haven't opened the Rookridge door (the one that requires doggie tricks), a ghost dog will show up when you're near the door, and perform the tricks for you. You don't get a ghost doggie if you try to continue the archaeologist, but a paw print
does
appear on the map of whatever region the artifact is in. However random digging in the area of the paw print netted me no successes, so I gave up.
Interesting point about the Ghost Dog of Rookridge. I was told that Wraithmarsh has an extra key (5/4 on the Region page if you find them all) but Dog had found the dig-up key already.
I have to say that fir all the angst Lucien caused me, his death was anti-climactic. I was prepared to go all Ashcroft-Cheney on him and work off some of those purity points.
Also, I need Fable 3 to let me maim Reaper.
How did you manage to keep 4 families happy? It seemed like every time I set foot out of my family's town, I'd get a cablegram saying "blue husband needs sex badly."

(sighs) I wish *I* got those cablegrams.
Wait - wrong thread! Hah!
I haven't touched Fable 2 since my co-workers got me all fired up about LotRO again. Poor game.

Each of them got a house allowance about five times greater than what they wanted. That was 100gp per day for three of them, and 500gp a day for Lady Grey. 800gp a day was nothing when I was making about 7,000gp every five minutes.
Plus, with four of them, in four different places spread out across Albion, I was pretty much bound to run across each of them over time. I'd take their present, head to bed for a quick roll in the hay, and rush off to my next task.
But mostly I bought them off.
What percentage of the game is keeping your partner sexually satisfied?
Dude. You hooked up with Lady Grey? EEEeeeewwwww. (I liked her house best though)

She was pretty hot for a dead chick.
What percentage of the game is keeping your partner sexually satisfied?
All told, maybe 1%. Maybe a little more, but it's just one among many many things you can do in the game.
