How did you manage to keep 4 families happy? It seemed like every time I set foot out of my family's town, I'd get a cablegram saying "blue husband needs sex badly."
Each of them got a house allowance about five times greater than what they wanted. That was 100gp per day for three of them, and 500gp a day for Lady Grey. 800gp a day was nothing when I was making about 7,000gp every five minutes.
Plus, with four of them, in four different places spread out across Albion, I was pretty much bound to run across each of them over time. I'd take their present, head to bed for a quick roll in the hay, and rush off to my next task.
But mostly I bought them off.
