You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I feel this is a big thing, I should wait to see if anyone else would like to voice an opinion.

Right now, since everybody but Apollo is in the brig, testing him our number one priority.

I couldn't agree more, Dr. Baltar. However, as you seem to be done with your Big Kahuna burger and tasty beverage, allow me to retort.

  • By all means, test me, Dr. Baltar. But let me point out that you and Boomer have the highest odds of being a cylon. If you are going to throw your one-time ability around wildly, play the odds and choose Boomer.

  • But since this slugfest seems to come down to me vs. the President, cast your mind over the plays that Roslin has made so far in the game. She has done nothing but draw quorum cards that she will not use. Oh wait, she did do something else -- she tried to brig you.

  • Think about the last crisis card draw the President made. She drew two cards and CHOSE one. The one she chose was a surprise cylon attack while we were already under attack from cylon raiders. There are only 10 cylon attacks in the crisis deck (70 cards total). The odds that she drew two in the same turn, and that the one she played was the lesser of two evils are about 2%.

  • Finally, and I hate to point this out, but your credibility isn't the highest, Dr. Baltar. You have done nothing to convince me that your aren't a cylon. You test me, and I have no doubt you will say I am a cylon in order to sow discord among the humans. You test the President, I am pretty certain you will say she isn't a cylon in order to encourage the humans to let her out to continue her mission of destruction.

Frankly, I think the time during which your cylon detector had a lot of relevency has passed.

Centurion has paused to take out the nearest PA. A grateful fleet cheers it on.

Hee!

You know, technically that boarding party is a virus, so maybe it will do a DDoS on the PA system.

BSG

I agree with Baltar's decision to wait until all the Loyalty cards are out to use the Cylon Detector. I think that in this case, nothing really changed at halftime, but that's only my supposition.

I actually agree with President Roslin, however, and suggest that you test Acting Admiral Adama.

I don't think the cylon detector ever had a lot of relevancy but there isn't much else I can do right now.

My action is to use my cylon detector on Apollo.

BSG

I think you've made a good choice, Baltar, as Apollo's subtle perfidy continues....

She has done nothing but draw quorum cards that she will not use.

I have drawn quorum cards exactly twice in this game, once before when there was not a lot else for me to do, and just now, being in the brig and all. And on all my other turns, we've generally had bigger problems that I needed to help out with, or my quorum cards didn't do much to help our situation.

Oh wait, she did do something else -- she tried to brig you.

Yeah, HE HELPED. And thought you should be brigged, too.

Think about the last crisis card draw the President made. She drew two cards and CHOSE one.

You know, this keeps getting thrown back in my face. I have no idea what the odds or distribution of cards are. I am literally incapable of rebutting that, since Apollo is throwing out odds that I have no ability to substantiate or refute.

Which should also make clear that I also would have no idea how to fake successfully, so if I were a cylon, it would be pretty dumb for me to try to fake that.

So either Apollo thinks I am really stupid and not very good at game playing (JERKWAD!), or

There are only 10 cylon attacks in the crisis deck (70 cards total). The odds that she drew two in the same turn, and that the one she played was the lesser of two evils are about 2%.

whatever the mathematics involved are, or however low the likely hood was, this is exactly what happened.

Actually, to be perfectly honest, I don't know if the surprise attack was for sure the lesser of the two evils. Both dumped a LOT of cylons into our airspace (spacespace?). I made a very tough choice, and had NO WAY of judging if it was the right one.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

BSG

Dr Baltar has opted to use his Cylon Detector on Admiral Apollo. Apollo couldn't be here in person, but Galactica reverberates with the sound of Apollo's, erm, singing; and the good doctor reckons he can get a reading out of the frequency modulation.

Some account-keeping to round off his turn:

Because Dr Baltar is in the Brig, he does not draw a Crisis Card, so that concludes his turn. (I'm afraid your Delusional Intuition only works after drawing a Crisis Card, so you miss out on a fifth Skill Card this turn.) Admiral Apollo, your turn is about to begin. Your card draw includes two cards from the Politics/Leadership skill set. Please advise what colours you would like to draw.

End of turn summary. Once again, as no Crisis Card was drawn, the only real change from last turn is that Dr Baltar has more cards.

You know, there's something to be said for having everyone in the brig. It certainly cuts down on the crises.

And on the ability to jump, of course.
