You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

End of turn summary. Once again, as no Crisis Card was drawn, the only real change from last turn is that Dr Baltar has more cards.

move out and draw fire

BSG

You know, there's something to be said for having everyone in the brig. It certainly cuts down on the crises.

And on the ability to jump, of course.

Electromagnetic candy! - Stark

OOC: Whenever I think of this whole game, I just think of Sartre.

EditedToElaborate: "Hell is Other People - and Baltar next door, and a toaster nearby, and APOLLO SINGING ON THE PA."

Hee. I have seen it proposed seriously as a human tactic. Can't help feeling that the strategy ignores the existence of Cylons, though.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

BSG

Dr Baltar has opted to use his Cylon Detector on Admiral Apollo. Apollo couldn't be here in person, but Galactica reverberates with the sound of Apollo's, erm, singing; and the good doctor reckons he can get a reading out of the frequency modulation.

um. Did I miss something. Results of said detector? And, Player BC seems to remember that the character doesn't have to be honest with the result of said test, is that correct?

non BSG ! Imagine that!

Seems I have a 2nd date with cute GeekyGameGirl, and it's game night with her friends! pressure? Nervous? what? me? what makes you think that.

Anyhow, it looks like they are playing Dominion. Anyone familiar with it? Good/bad? Strategy tips, so newbie doesn't look like a complete idiot. Did I mention they are all Mensa members?

I've never played it, but it was hailed as the Next Big Thing on BGG when it came out. It's settled in at number 6 in the game rankings there, which is extremely high - in short, it seems to have a lot going for it. The most common complaint I've seen is that its replay value falls over after a while for a lot of people - not a problem you'll likely face on your first play.

It's a deck building game, I think it tries to capture the feel of CCGs. You can find reviews, strategy articles etc here: [link]

All the stuff I posted takes place automatically regardless of what Dr Baltar reports, so I didn't want to hold things up. You are correct; Dr Baltar is not obliged to tell the truth, or indeed to say anything at all.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Sorry I was at a seminar all day. I met an Indian immigrant who recently lost her job because it was outsourced to India.

BSG

Yep. The only player not currently in the brig is a cylon. And by the way, we also have one in this here cell with us.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm tired of playing Conquer Club with strangers. Anyone up for a game? (I've so far won only 2 games, so your chances are pretty good!)
