Zoe: Nobody's saying that, sir. Wash: Yeah, we're pretty much just giving each other significant glances and laughing incessantly.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I think we should try everything we can to get a cure on the Scientist's turn. I don't like the odds of surviving much longer than that.

For that to happen I need to draw a Black card on my turn. For which purpose I'm happy to contrive to end my turn in Cairo, assuming that's possible.

PANDEMIC

The Dispatcher meets up with a Russian pilot in a Bangkok bar and arranges to hitch a ride on an Antonov An-22 destined for Cairo. There she meets up with the Scientist in the backroom of a Museum serving as a sanctuary from Zombie infestation. She hands over a dossier on a Russian zombie study in Cairo that she nicked from the Antonov. After that, she takes a bus to Algiers to hunt down a few zombies, as one does.

Then she draws Baghdad (Black) and Paris (Blue). Meanwhile the red death spreads in Taipei and COVID emerges in London.

The Braaainns Trust and I have a proposal: We discard Jo'burg to move there and clear it out, then double hop it to Cairo, ready for the Scientist to pick our braaainns. If we should happen to draw Black - about a 50/50 chance, I think - then that would give us the Black cure. Airlift would also do it.

How does that sound?

Another city off the brink and in ending in Cairo is great.

Let's go.

Discard Johannesburg to move to Johannesburg. One must give up what one seeks in order to find it.
Down three cubes of Mello Yello
Double move to Cairo. Story of my life, constantly trying to hang with the cool kids. But once they have the cards they want they always leave.

PANDEMIC

The Researcher charters a flight on a Gulfstream G650ER to Johannesburg and works with the community organizers to distribute the cure to the yellow plague, saving the city. Then the Researcher takes a train to Khartoum, and then a river boat to Cairo.

Then the Researcher draws the event Resilient Population! And the Researcher draws an Epidemic which fills Chennai with zombies, putting it on the brink.

We will now be drawing 3 infection cards a turn instead of 2.

Before finishing the turn we can play resilient population to remove an infection card from the infection discards BEFORE shuffling them and putting them back on top. We can also play One Quiet Night to skip the infection phase for this turn.

PANDEMIC

The problem is that we've got a potential double outbreak on the board which can kill us in one draw. How about using Resilient Population to take Chennai out of the deck? Then use One Quiet Night to skip infection this turn, and then the scientist can defuse Mumbai. That should buy us time for the Medic to clean out Chennai and make things a lot less risky.
