PANDEMIC
We're playing on regular, there are 4 epidemics in the deck. However, bad luck is making it a bit harder.

Yeah, if you treat Shanghai, I could also head there after curing yellow. If you draw a red, I can grab it there. If not, then the Medic could at least clear Seoul & Tokyo.
If I do draw Red, can I suggest that you come after me without even stopping to cure Yellow? Then you could cure Red that turn, which would be huge for the Medic's turn. You'd need to ditch a Yellow in the process, but I have spares.
Anyway. Alas, we have lingered too long in the Black zone, and my Brains Trust is now a Braaaainns Trust. But I have consulted with him and he agrees that Shanghai has the spiciest brains. So:
Pass, let's say Khartoum to the Scientist
Hop it to Shanghai
Eliminate a Red cube, act like the Medic should be impressed
PANDEMIC
The Scientist will need to discard a card to accept Khartoum. Which card does the Scientist wish to discard?

PANDEMIC
The Researcher passes over a binder of info about the yellow plague's progression in Khartoum, then catches a Mi-6 helicopter to Baghdad. Then the Researcher takes a station to station flight to Shanghai and puts out a bunch of hand sanitizer around the city before meeting up with the Medic at a clinic. The Medic just remarks, "Oh you put out some hand sanitizer, that's cute."
The Researcher then draws St. Petersburg (Blue) and Bangkok (Red!)
It's time for infection, but we must decide whether to use One Quiet Night or not.

I don't really want to use it yet, but I can't deny the fact that Beijing and Tokyo are both ready to blow and if either does, then we lose the game. Though we could see if we survive this turn and then use it next turn. At that point, if the Scientist cures the red death, the Medic can just go on a curing tour of East Asia.

YES RED
I vote for the Scientist making a beeline for Shanghai and curing Red this turn. I also vote for holding onto One Quiet Night. We never drew Beijing - all those cubes are from outbreaks from Seoul and Shanghai - so we're not about to draw it. I don't think we've pulled Tokyo since the setup either, in which case it'll be buried pretty deep. Better to hold the card for an epidemic.
PANDEMIC
The setup cards stay in the discard pile so Tokyo is a danger. I think you're right about Beijing though which does lower the odds of insta-death.

They do! But we had an earlier epidemic before this one. It would've been shuffled back on top of the deck at that point. We haven't drawn it since, which means we'll need to go through all the cards we drew between the first epidemic and the second epidemic before we can hit Tokyo again. Time enough for you to do your Cure Tour.
At least I think that's right.
