The setup cards stay in the discard pile so Tokyo is a danger.

They do! But we had an earlier epidemic before this one. It would've been shuffled back on top of the deck at that point. We haven't drawn it since, which means we'll need to go through all the cards we drew between the first epidemic and the second epidemic before we can hit Tokyo again. Time enough for you to do your Cure Tour.

At least I think that's right.

I gotcha now. That makes sense.

OMG, am I going to have to start tracking cards again like in BSG?

In any case, I'm fine with waiting to use it. I've been playing far too much with the new computer version I bought and I still don't have a handle on when the best time for event cards is.

PANDEMIC

Recap

The Researcher passes over a binder of info about the yellow plague's progression in Khartoum, then catches a Mi-6 helicopter to Baghdad. Then the Researcher takes a station to station flight to Shanghai and puts out a bunch of hand sanitizer around the city before meeting up with the Medic at a clinic. The Medic just remarks, "Oh you put out some hand sanitizer, that's cute."

The Researcher then draws St. Petersburg (Blue) and Bangkok (Red!)

It's time for infection, but we must decide whether to use One Quiet Night or not, and we elect to hold on to it. The blue plague spreads in both Atlanta and New York, putting both cities on the brink.

PANDEMIC

The blue plague is starting to look like it may be COVID. Anyhow, after I go on my great tour of curing red death, I can move right into North America and go after COVID. Of course, that's quite awhile in the future, but all of those COVID bombs are cities in the current infection discard pile.

PANDEMIC

So, per the plan the Researcher proposed, I head to Baghdad (1st action) to shuttle to Shanghai (2nd action), discard a yellow card to share knowledge with the Researcher on red (3rd action), and cure red (4th action) on this turn. Then, on the Researcher's next turn, they would share knowledge with me on yellow before proceeding with the rest of their turn, and when my turn comes around again, I would cure yellow. Is that right? It does seem to make sense from a yellow-not-being-a-threat-right-now standpoint.

I like it. Looking forward to doing some massive red death curing.
