The Scientist stows away on a freighter headed to Lagos, then rents a Land Rover Defender and drives to Khartoum, then takes a river boat up the Nile to Cairo. Once three she meets up with the Researcher in a seedy Cairo bar to discuss Ho Chi Minh City, leaving the Scientist thinking she's just one clue away from figuring out the red death.
Then she draws Santiago (Yellow) and Tehran (Black). Meanwhile, the blue plague spreads in New York, and zombies multiply in Baghdad, putting it on the brink.

I think that all of the cities on the brink are in the infection discard pile so none of them are more dangerous than any of the others. That makes me think I should clear out Baghdad and Tehran to take away the risk of a double outbreak.

I think that sounds like a sensible plan. One thing to share: On my turn, unless things have gone to hell somewhere and needs all hands, I intend to finish my turn in Baghdad. That's in the hopes that I'll draw a Red card, in which case on the Scientist's next turn, they could cure both Yellow and Red.

The Medic takes a station to station flight to Baghdad and then organizes dozens of anti-zombie squads to clear out the city. Then he hitches a ride in the back of a Toyota Hilux and does the same thing in Tehran.
After that he draws Hong Kong (Red) and Osaka (Red). Meanwhile yellow plague re-emerges in Mexico City and the blue plague spreads even more in Atlanta.

Since the Researcher and I need to stay where we are, I am assuming we want the Dispatcher to treat at least one hotspot and bring the Medic to them at some point on their turn, correct?
