PANDEMIC
I'm ok with playing on. Honestly I don't think it matters that you're in São Paulo; I don't think the Dispatcher has time anymore to get to you anyway. On their turn I figure they need to get to Shanghai ASAP to take it off the boil and put a research station there. (If we last that long.)
I'm ok with a restart too if people prefer, but I don't mind seeing how this plays out.
PANDEMIC
Yep. All the cards used to infect cities are shuffled and put on the top of the infection deck. One of the most insidious game mechanics ever.

Good point. What do you think the Medic should do?
PANDEMIC
I'm assuming the Medic should go to Shanghai since it is a bit more central than Tokyo, and while harder to get to than Tehran, more of an immediate danger. Also, then the Dispatcher has an option of going to either Shanghai or Tokyo. Or, hey, Sao Paolo!
PANDEMIC
If I clear Tokyo and Shanghai blows, we'll have two outbreaks and use 5 cubes. If I clear Shanghai and Tokyo blows, we'll have three outbreaks and also use 5 cubes. I think the extra one outbreak margin is worth burning two black cards.
PANDEMIC
Both Shanghai and Tokyo cost two black cards, don't they?
ETA: Nevermind. I forgot you are still in Atlanta and can clear Tokyo without using any cards.
PANDEMIC
I think I agree with the Medic. Plus, if I get company it kills this whole Lost in Translation vibe I've got going on here.
I also think the Scientist should flip to pursuing a Red cure first. You're just as close to either Red or Yellow now (and I can help with either one), but Red's become more urgent.
PANDEMIC
At great expense the Medic catches a Gulfstream G700 and jets to Shanghai with refueling stops in Mumbai and Delhi. Once there, the Medic makes like McCoy and starts injecting everybody, wiping out all disease for now.
Then the Medic drew Manila and... a Government Grant!
Meanwhile.... the Zombie situation gets worse in Tehran resulting in an outbreak, and red plague spreads in just cleared Shanghai.
The situation continues to not be great...

The Government Grant means that we can build a research station anywhere at anytime. It doesn't have to be on the Medic's turn.

True, but thank god we cleared Shanghai.

So our current danger zones are Baghdad and Tokyo, correct?
It doesn't have to be on the Medic's turn.
??

Just noting that the even though the Medic has the Government Grant card, it can be played on anyone's turn at any time.
Yep. Tokyo and Baghdad are the most dangerous situations right now.
